I am running on Windows 98. Tech does not support it. I am doing fine.
Ideally they say DQS should run on XP. Ideally MQ should pay me enough so I could afford to replace my computer. Maybe when Frank MQ gets around to raising statuatory employees line count after 5-6 years service to MQ, I can afford XP.

You don't need an FTP site if he sends them to you by email, but you will need an encryption program to encrypt the voice files before mailing, and the document files you mail back. Express Scribe should be able to play the voice files, especially if the doctor uses the PDA dictate program they offer.

You are fine unless you are working for an
MTSO or facility that says use AAMT/BOS, etc.
i have word 2000 free standing as well with no problems. email support, they will help you shortly.
you shouldn't struggle with having problems. support is there to help us and they are good at their job. as with any new acct, there are always gonna be some kinks. i had some to work out as well with my end of the system. it doesn't sound like something you can fix; probably something with how the two tie in together. did you log out and back in and see if that helped?

afford it but no money means no home, right? The MTSOs pay less because what they know and see. Read above where they read these postings. No work, work low, waiting on work. I would never fuss about lack of work and/or money if I did nothing to change my situation.

There is a $150 fine if caught working at home-sm
w/o business license. From 2002-2005 the fee was $50. Then city changed it and now have to take copy of tax return to City Hall and the fee is based on previous year's income. Woman in my Chamber of Commerce group was turned into the city by a rival and was fined.
My MJ is fine for just regular use, but don't think it would be good for working with... nm

If you like to type (fast), are fascinated by medical field, enjoy working solo, you will be fine.
You may have to go through three jobs (over several years) to get to the big money. Best to chose a specialty which you find intriguing and tends to pay well (surgery, radiology perhaps).

They can send an email that goes to all MTs in one shot. I think she just means a courtesy email
would be nice. MQ is not getting any easier. My account has been picked over thoroughly when it went on DQS by ASR and I get all the remains because they only have a core group doing ASR which I think is wrong because you get all the bad dictators and it would be nice to be acknowledged that at least you know the person you can discuss problems with as they crop up. This is a big one and we have no manager anymore and no one to discuss this with at all in my office so you just sit here very day doing this work and no way to vent to someone that could offer some suggestions on this and other issues that come up to help relieve some of the stress of working this way.

Again, because you entered your email address, you CAN receive email from anyone, but THEY
e-mail address because it is not revealed when they send mail because we have spam protection in place. The only way they would know what your email address is, is if you reply to the email they send you. I am looking at the exact same car!
I can get a 2006 Toyota Prius for about $24,000. That is not much more than I paid for my 2004 Ford Taurus that also accepts ethanol but where I live they don't make ethanol. :(
I have to get on a waiting list at the dealer. Also, I read too that there is a $3000 tax credit which would help to offset the price which I don't think is too bad anyway. :)

I got out of MT for about 3 years and just recently started again part-time at the hospital so that I can put myself through college. So I'm just using and doing this as a means to the end to start all over again doing something I want to do.

This is my exact complaint
The looking up of addresses is ridiculous. I don't care HOW fast you type or HOW many macros and shortcuts you have, nothing will prepare you for that! The platform is user friendly where I work also. Most of the time with this company, I'm making less than $10 an hour because of this... and this job is my overtime job!
It's a small MTS and I really don't want to work for a national (from all that I hear on this board), so what does one do? How does one find the smaller companies to work for?

I tried Prozac for the same exact
thing. Can't remember what its called, but when the OB/GYN gives it out, its in a pretty floral package...different package, same drug. I LOVED it. It worked nearly immediately to lighten my mood and improved my sleep. About 4 days into it, I developed complete urinary retention, which turns out to be a very common side effect. I was crushed...Now I alternate and take Lunesta every other night or so to sleep. Very mild and works great! Love that butterfly! Good luck to you!
