Instant Text works with 5.1. s/m
It's a bit pricy at $189, but it's the best program I've ever used. I'll sell you mine (very cheap!) along with extra glossaries I bought if you are interested. Just shoot me an email. You can check out their website. Just Google either Instant Text Pro V or Textware. Good luck!
Instant Text works with both
You should be able to use Instant Text with both applications. If you need help with any issues, let us know by sending an email to support@textware.com

Instant Text expander..Does anyone know if it works with Bayscribe? sm
and how expensive it is? I currently use ShortHand but reading some of the posts below feel I might be interested in trying Instant Text. Do you know if I would be able to transfer my Shorthand abbreviations into Instant Text? Thanks for your help!
Instant Text works with EMDAT's platform
Inscribe as it does with eScription's platform editScript.
No adjustments are necessary. You just link Instant Text a first time to these platforms and from then on IT links automatically.
If you have a ShortHand spf file you can easily convert it to an Instant Text glossary.

I have never found a platform it did not work with and I have worked on several different versions of Meditech. Just start using it.
Meditech Program
For anyone who uses Meditech Program? I work PT for a hospital that uses Meditech. They only have a spellchecker for their girls and myself being an IC I purchased PCShorthand years ago. I really would like to purchase a software program spellchecker that also checks and has generic and brand names drugs in it. Does anyone use or knows of a program like that which would also be compatible with Meditech as some things interfere with it I have been told? Thanks Pauline
What is the best expander program for Meditech system?
I asked this question a while back and someone told me ShortHand worked great with Meditech. I have downloaded the new trial version of it and it interferes with certain keys that are used in Meditech. Such as filling out information screens and the save button in Meditech. Things come up that I don't want to come. I want a program that will expand only in the text part of Meditech. Any help would be appreciated.
Word/text expanders for Meditech
I would apprecaiate knowing word/text Expanders work in Meditech? Thank you.
? for anyone who works on Meditech Magic.
I'm starting a new account on Meditech. I've never worked on it. I haven't been through training, but after looking at the manual I have to say - UGH.
I've heard MTs who love it and many who say it is terrible. Can you give me some feedback, likes, dislikes, etc.
Are you able to make your lines in an 8-hour day? Does it have its own spellchecker or can you use Stedman's?
Yes, Shorthand works with Meditech.
I have only worked in one version of Meditech, Meditech Magic, and it is easy to use. There are other versions, though. I'm sure they are easy also.
Just make sure you get a list of what the function keys do in your version.

Where did you get Instant Text?
Like Best Buy or somewhere like that?
Instant Text ?
All you have to do is add VENTILATION PERFUSION SCAN to the glossary. Type it in your document the way you want all caps with a colon or not, etc. and highlight it and press Alt and the +/= sign at the same time to add it to the glossary and then the next time you want it type vps but look at the list and pick the one you want all caps or lower case. You can always delete the lower case version if you do not need it. Let me know if you need more info. Good Luck
Instant Text V Pro
I can give you some info on Instant Text V Pro if you'd like.
The most popular features of IT V Pro include the Importer, the Compilation feature, the Includes feature and Continuations.
The Importer takes abbreviation lists from other sources, such as AutoCorrect, and imports them into IT so you can continue using them without having to start creating a new list from scratch.
The Compilation feature is used to create personalized glossaries by scanning saved documents on your computer and pulling out the most frequently used phrases and words to instantly compile a customized glossary in seconds.
The Includes feature allows you to use more than one glossary at a time.
And the Continuations feature is a feature that brings up what you are likely to type next in your sentence. So for example, if you were to type "The patient", IT will then suggest what you are likely to type next based on what you've typed in the past.
