Inaudible Dialogue

This may sound like a stupid question, but what do you type during dicattion when the dialogue is completely inaudible? Is it appropriate to type inaudible? Yes, obviously I am new at this. I took a SUM-based course but I wasn't sure what to do when you have no idea what a doctor is saying due to mumbles and garbled audio. Thanks.

Re: inaudible dialogue
In my case that may be a bad idea because I am testing for an employer and I am supposed to use 3 underscores for blanks that they left for confidentiality purposes. I appreciate your reply though.
I'd do {inaudible dialogue}.
