If you do not like a particular thread, skip over it.  If you want to voice your disagreement or discuss it, etc., then do so respectfully.

If we begin removing threads simply because some are unhappy with the subject matter, then I guarantee that sooner or later your particular subject matter will be the next target.

Everyone has a right to post here within posting guidelines.  Simply skip over the threads that are of no interest to you.  Granted, many controversial subjects are posted sometimes and if it is too sensitive of an issue for you, just don't read. 

No one is required to read any or every post, nor reply to any or every post.  Use good judgement for your postings.

We are not over-monitoring.  We are trying to keep a little bit of order here.

The Main board is very busy with high traffic of other topics.  If you want to discuss offshoring or politics, please feel free to but post them on the correct boards.

If you are talking about President Obama's stance, action, statements concerning offshoring - it is political.  It goes on the Politics board.

If you are talking about healthcare industries and what Congress, the Senate, the GOP or other leaders are doing or not doing about - it is political.  It goes on the Politics board.

I really appreciate you all taking the time to give me some insight.  I'm going to hang in there.  The one poster was right--I do have PTSD from my old job who stressed me continously about firing me!  Sigh..that was a horrible experience and I'm still burned from that.  I had never gone through anything like that before.  Every job I've ever had, I excelled with it. Well again, THANK YOU!

I think I'm getting my first contract that I solicited myself, so bear with me.  Does Outlook or Outlook Express have features where I can safely send emails back to the doc with the transcriptions, or do I need a stand-alone product for HIPAA compliance?

I always thought that was hilarious.  Some of these doctors are so transparent in the tone of voice and when you get their reports over and over, you can almost tell by their choice of words (and the background conversation when flirting with the nurses) that they're chauvinistics going through middle-age crisis.  Can you see it:

HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS:   The patient is an elderly 45-year-old female (I only go for young blondes) who is here complaining (I hate whiners) of a migraine headache that has waxed and waned over the past 2 days (must be that time of the month).

PAST MEDICAL HISTORY:  Hypertension, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia (did I say I hate whiners?).

MEDICATIONS:  None.

ALLERGIES: None.

SOCIAL HISTORY:  The patient is currently employed as a secretary,is married (how does her husband put up with it), and currently lives in ___. 

FAMILY HISTORY:  No history of CVA or TIA.  Positive history for coronary artery disease, migraine headaches, and anxiety (now I see where the whining comes from).

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION:  Vital signs:  Temperature 98.6 degrees, heart rate 72, blood pressure 110/65, respirations 20.  Weight is 140 lbs (whatta cow).  GENERAL APPEARANCE:  This is an obese female, well-nourished (obviously) who appears her stated age (not Jessica Simpson by a long shot). HEENT: Face is symmetric (including both of her chins).  PERLA, EOMI. No nystagmus. NECK: Supple (I hate having to say supple when it's as flabby as this one).  No tenderness.  LUNGS: Clear to auscultation.  BREASTS: Symmetrical.  No masses (Not bad for an old woman). ABDOMEN:  (Ughhhhhhhhhh) Obese, flabby, nontender.

Yadda, Yadda, Yadda.  When you hear these dictators over and over with such obvious distaste in their voices you wonder if the patients sense it or if they put on such a good act that the patients don't even realize.

Also, because this is a new feature, we are adding keywords daily.  For example, we started out with about a dozen, that has grown to about 30 now.  It's an ongoing process and it was designed for you, the MTStars visitor.
