Go to SSA.gov and research the payee options. You may have to use the search engine, but your answer to this particular issue should be there.
I am disabled and while my kids were minors, I had to fill out a form each year on how I, as the payee spent each and every penny of the money they received. I don't see how his mother can justify how she spent his money for things that you normally would pay.
That said, he is getting Social Security right? Is your son receiving a dependent check? Under law, if a parent is disabled and has minor children, each and every one of those children also receive a check until they turn 18 or graduate from high school, which ever comes first.
The check is a percentage of your husbands, so for 800.00, your son should receive at least 350.00. If you have not been getting this, they would pro-rate it back to when your husbands disability started and that in itself, could solve a lot of your financial problems. we took an IC's check that worked for my DH to our bank and cashed it for them. sm
the check was returned and they came after us for the money of which we paid, plus the penalty to pick up the check and this was not even our check. we took it to the DA and after over a year, they sent the check back to us and told us it was a stolen check and they were not able to collect on it. our loss, $425.

i dont understand how our jobs can be sent to people that cannot form correct English sentences.
i will NEVER understand this business anymore, and that is why it is time for me to get out of it.
Experience doesn't matter anymore. if they can pay someone as cheap as possible to get the work done, they will do it. And the MT's that accept it hurt the rest of us that deserve more.

I recently had my debit card number stolen when I was visiting in Toronto. My bank's fraud department called me within a day of the fraudulent charges. They had already denied 2 of them, and the one that did go through I was refunded every dime of. I guess I have a pretty good bank! (Wells Fargo).
The cop that I talked to when I filed a report said that they have one guy who does nothing but take the fraud calls every day, that is how many there are now. One poor little old lady had her entire account cleaned out, and on top of that the people somehow managed to SELL her HOUSE out from under her. I don't know exactly how they did that but she was not able to get it back, she was pretty much SOL. I guess it makes good sense to check to see how your bank deals with fraud and what the policy is on giving you back your money.
Also his advice was to get a shredder, and the kind that shreds both ways, and he told me that he even blocked out his address on his car registration. He says he never has anything in his car that has any personal info like that on it. I thought that was interesting and did not even know that was okay to do. But I guess if a cop is doing it it must be!
RE: You will not receive a 1099 if
you made less then $600, but the IRS will receive a copy of your earnings regardless. You have to claim all of your income no matter what the amount. Of course, if you made under $600, most likely the tax will be minimal if any.
I receive 2 different CMT incentives.
Two of the companies I work part-time for provide a CMT incentive. One of them pays an extra 1 cent per line and the other, I get 0.005 (half a cent) per line for a CMT incentive. These are on top of my production incentives and quality incentives (at one company).
It does mean extra money and I know what it means to me personally.
Nevermind the naysayers here. They are bitter about quite a long list of things in the MT world.

If you bank with Wachovia they have/are
sending 400 call center jobs to India, which also means they have access to your financial information. I use a local credit union, but have a home equity loan with Wachovia and with that they gave us, checking, savings, credit, debit accounts. I have closed all but the home equity account so far and told them why. I'm currently in the process of shopping rates to open a new home equity loan too.
No telling how many more banks/credit card companies are doing the same.
Talk to your bank
With DD, your bank statement is proof that the company paid you or not. With checks or prepaid credit cards, if it's lost in the mail YOU have no proof it wasn't sent. If it gets screwed up in adding it to the card, YOU have no proof the MTSO is at fault and you have to fight with Visa.
The MTSO is correct in refusing to tell you which other MTs get Visa--they have a right to privacy.
The main problem I can see with Visa is that it's just inappropriate. You'll be forced to spend every penny you earn AND spend it at an establishment that takes Visa. How do you plan on saving? How do you plan to pay your insurance and other expenses? What if your children need $10 for school?
You also may be subjected to fees and/or expiration of the funds on the card.
Why don't you talk to your bank about the safety of direct deposit? Perhaps if they can calm any unfounded fears you have, you can be paid in a more appropriate manner.

I have a good friend who is a bank branch manager. Tellers, etc. are entry level. She just hired my hairdresser!!!! Don't know about where you live but I think most bank jobs are entry level in the smaller banks at least.

It is rare, but not extinct to receive a
reply regarding how you fared on your test. For those of you who are presently going through this situation, I would suggest going back and reading the email you sent requesting the information. Often times online, the inflections in our words are misconstrued. You may be wasting time imaging the worst.
Second solution; just forward a copy of your original email to them; it only takes 10 seconds.
How to receive daily digest?-please help
Many, many months ago I somehow figured out on this site how to receive a daily digest through email each day and I enjoy that. Now I would like to tell a couple MTer's how to receive this Daily Digest as well, but am not able to find the directions on this site again. If anyone could tell me how to sign up for the Daily Digest, would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
I receive dss files with new version of ES
I just downloaded the newest version of ES, 4.17, a couple of days ago and I receive dss files fine. There was a couple of glitches in the "settings" which I had to change, but now plays fine.
Another possibility: I know when I first downloaded the free ES on my second computer, I could not listen to the files, but it was because I had a different foot pedal on that computer and so I had to go in and make some changes concerning the foot pedal settings in ES.
Are you able to play the files using just the hot keys? If you would like to compare the "settings" which I have on my computer for ES to yours, let me know and I can do that either by email or phone.
How do you receive your dictation from clients
I had used transcriptiongears call in system at one time, but it was too expensive for me. I want to try to pick up another client, but wondered what is the most cost effective method to receive their dictations. Any advice?

Which ones are you gals/guys transcribing that you are able to do 200-300/hour? I have condensed it down to ops and maybe radiology. What are the most awesome expansion accounts in your opinion-copy and paste if you will!!
Is there anybody transcribing this amount of lines on acute or multi specialty? Specialty, a single specialty, I could believe. Ops I can believe. Haven't done rad so don't know. What are the best "COPY AND PASTE" situations you know of?

the notion that he needs "diapers" since he is trained during the day and you don't want him to feel like he's a baby. My DD used Pull Ups, then those big Pull Ups that are just white and made for bedwetters, and when she grew out of those we used DDAVP spray, which worked the first night.

So you go into the queue and grab what is at the top at that time. So if you do not feel like working one day or that morning you don't have to pull from the queue?

mess, aren't you? I do voice also and keep trying to tell people MTers are not ready to be replaced with this because I, like you, see this all too much.
You can pull up like you are lifting a
weight and also pull outward like you are working on shoulder muscles and pecs (typical gym exercise). Do about 8 reps (or more)of each every hour. Exercising these muscles is cumulative but the important thing is to be consistent, i.e. every day. It's so easy to forget for a couple of days and then the pain returns. Being MTs we need to be mindful of our bodies. Our minds are always getting a workout but our bodies seem to suffer. We need to be warriors of mind and body to be balanced and then our performance and productivity improves also.

God is not a vindictive (sp?) God, He is a kind and loving God. This hurricane is simply nature, and nothing more, I'm sure...Would you bring your wrath down so hard on your own children for something they did that was wrong? Well, that's how God feels about us...His children, everyone of us. Even those who fight so hard to have Him removed from our lives...we are extremely blessed that God is so wonderful!

I needed a good laugh, thanks for posting. Trust me, I'm only laughing at the sheer stupidity of issuing a check for one cent. You can't even rebel and send it back to them because you'd be out 36 cents.
