If you have a job requiring BOS

they will within months probably be using standards from the 3rd edition, so buy that.  If not, but if you want to keep current on standards in case you do need to get a job with a national requiring BOS standards, get the 3rd edition.

If you are just buying a book to get a general idea about standards for how to transcribe things, BOS 2nd edition (2002) is good enough.  If you have a choice of the electronic version (CD) or book, choose the electronic because the book is really difficult to find things in.

who do you currently work for that is requiring that? = sm
the company I work for has asked me to do one weekend in the whole two years that I have been there. My shift is M-F and if I want extra, I can ask for it.
Alltype requiring them now.
I applied at Alltype and part of their application process is a credit reporting form.  I don't mind the criminal background one, I don't mind drug testing, but my credit form is MY business and I said thanks but no thanks.
She does not say she is an IC. If they are requiring an 8-hour day then she
is an employee more than likely.
I think it is outdated, still lots of work requiring one. nm
