Merry Christmas! There is a story named Cat and Mouse Christmas...search Google and you'll find

You should be able to find the folder on your puter sm
and open it in word or notepad and see everything there.  Check out the Instant Text site for their forums, I am sure there is a blow-by-blow there for you to follow.  I have never done it, so I am not 100% sure.
Find your sh9 folder on your computer. then sm
find all files in that folder that end in .spf. These are all your dictionaries. Select the ones you need to copy and copy them onto whatever media you're using to transfer. Then you just paste them into the ShortHand folder onto the new computer, and voila! REady for use on the new computer.
Regarding non American Google ads, as we see them we add them to the list so they won't appear

again, but we don't see everything.  If you see an ad that is not an American run company, please email admin@mtstars.com with the URL and we will have it removed.

Thank you,

Administrator

You can do a google search for list
of dangerous abbreviations.
You can probably find some on Google.

Just google and you will find several.

Just Google pet insurance and you'll get
loads of them.  The one we have right now that was free for a month  is sheltercare.  I think petinsurance.com is a good one.  You can get a basic policy for about 8 or 9 dollars  a month.   The one I want is about 19.95, but if you've ever had a dog or a cat at the vet, the bill can be like highway robbery.  You can get a free online quote, as it depends on the kind of dog you  have, the animal's age, etc.  You can sign up right online.
IF you will google either city you'll get

info as far as population, temperatures, etc.  Charlotte is a big financial center, also called the "Queen" city.   I don't currently live in Raleigh but did for 2 years and we really liked it.   Traffic is a bear, but people are friendly and tons of things to do.  There are 2 major teaching hospitals about 45 minutes away.  Lots of walking trails.    Cary is outside of Raleigh and that is a pretty nice place too.  It isn't quite the hustle and bustle of Raleigh, but is growing rapidly.   I would not live in Durham for anything.   If you've heard about the Duke rape trial you might understand.  Huge racial problems there.

With Charlotte you are close to the SC border.   Charlotte also has lots of traffic.   My sister used to live there and I would visit but don't know much about the social scene there.

It'll happen. You'll find your fit.
You might have to kiss a few frogs first, though.
What do you do if you cannot find a doctor on the list?

Did you find a list at this website?

I went to this site but when I clicked on the download link there was not a list there.  Does anyone know how to find this list or one similar to it?

Thanks

Can someone who can access Google find an

Won't be installing it for a week but I'll google it. nm

Yes. I find it spelled both ways on Google.
NM
Thank you, could not find it in any of my word books or Google
xx
MMM, can you call some of mine too? I'll send a list. :)

hmmm, I have tons, but I'll list some favorites

pt=patient, hle=hyperlipidemia, hx=history, nd=and, nx=nontoxic, gm=gentleman, wsg=worsening, nt=nontender, fp=followup, fup=followup, otc=OTC, otcc=over-the-counter, gi=GI, gii=gastrointestinal, nvd=No nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.  The list goes on and on!

Those are just a few of many.  I have most brand name meds set up for auto capitalization.  I also have abbreviations for most headings, ie: alg=ALLERGIES:, pexn=PHYSICAL EXAMINATION, soh=SOCIAL HISTORY, laby=LABORATORY:.

I don't know what I would do without my expansions.  I highly recommend them.  Good luck gettin more set up.

Google "soap note" and you can find it easily.

OK, I misunderstood. Didn't know there was another way. I'll check out Google Desktop. Thanks.

Change your view to "print layout".
That should do it.  If you need additional help, email me.  I'm pretty good with Word.
RE: I would do a "print screen" on each report nd save
to Word Pad. Then you will be able to compare your count to their count.
Yes, but you'll probably need to find a smaller MTSO.
Put your resume in the MTstars resume database specifically stating what you're looking for. The smaller MTSOs usually don't put ads in because they don't want to be bombarded with hundreds of resumes. If you leave your info, they'll come to you. I had three independent contractor "p.r.n." or "very part-time positions" this past summer, so the positions are out there. Then I figured since I was already putting in 30 hours between the three, why not just work 20+ hours as an employee? So I am. Good luck with it!
I'll bet you can find one on Ebay cheap.
I've been buying up the antique kitchen gadgets because they work better and cost less than the newfangled junk.
You go, Tinks! You'll have to let us know so we can find it on the internet and see it.

I feel exactly the same as y'all.  I think we could start by sending letters not  e-mails to our respective state legislators.  And it would certainly not be a bad idea to send a letter to the presidential candidates.  I bet Hillary would do something about it.  Anyways I hope she would.  My SIL is Indian.  He was down here last weekend and told me he received an e-mail encouraging him to get into MT for only $450!  he's a bus driver.  Scam, scam, scam.  He also told me that Indians are all crooks, and those are his words.  he told me many stories of people stealing, bribes being expected, etc., even from the law and customs officials and the post office, on and on.  So there ya go.  Some may think our info is safe over there, I think not.

I have thought about contating our local TV/newspaper for the same reason -- to expose the dirty little secret at the big hospital here in town.

If you check the archives you'll find
this same question has been asked numerous times, but basically most have felt it a waste of time and wouldn't recommend them.
Hi, Lucinda. If you search on editing, you'll find SM
a lot of discussion since so many of us share your situation. Lots of people here have been editing for some time and should be able to offer answers to any questions you have afterward.
RadGuy, I gottah say this. You'll find someone on this board if you keep posting!! Even though mo
married (happily, others not), you just come off as interested in what we do as MTs (because you understand), you are funny, witty, and have a great personality....

I can just see it now....
You are personally invited to a virtual on-line wedding to celebrate.....

LOL!!

If you so a search on this board you'll find lots of info.

Basically, you've got it right. However, voice files can be large and email may reject large file attachments. Also, there's the security aspect that you didn't mention. Basically, the voice file and finished document need to be encrypted to be secure.

You said you don't have the time/didn't take the time to do the research. Lots of people have and have shared their findings time and again on this board. I, for one, am not willing to reinvent the wheel every time someone is looking for this information but doesn't want to take the time to do the legwork. No offense meant but please do take the time to educate yourself. If you really don't have the time or don't want to take that time, then be prepared to pay for that information in the form of a consultant.

Read these boards, & you'll find 'rude & inconsiderate'

Free? As in, free trial? Otherwise, I don't think you'll find a spellcheck software that's

Yep, google has it goin on... I really like the google earth...
Have you tried Google earth? You can type in any address, street, city, state, country, etc. and it will zoom in and show the area and then you can hit the + button and zoom right in and see the exact house, building, etc. that you are looking for.
Mainly Google; I google the known words in the phrase (sm)
That's my most frequent tactic if I don't find the word in my word books. I'll play with leaving certain words out and adding them in, in various combinations, to try to get a hit that has a word which sounds like my blank. If I get a hit, I'll Google WITH that word, and see what hits I get, and what their source is (i.e.,checking the sources out for reliability). When I say 5 sites or searches, I mean I don't often try more than 5 different combinations without a serious hit. If I get a hit, then I will spend a little more time checking that out before I give up.

If it's a drug name, I use RxList, or more frequently the Drugs.com website. Since they redid RxList, I haven't found one that has quite as good a wildcard search, but Drugs.com works okay most of the time.

If it's a place name (like when they give names of outlying outreach clinics and etc.) I'll use Mapquest and look up the city my hospital is in, then "pan out" and look at the outlying towns.

Hope that's what you're looking for. I do have bookmarks, but I find that even the ones I think I'll visit again, I waste more time doing that than with an intelligent google search. An example is the time I was looking for "banana bag." The only place I managed to find it with a degree of reliability was on a nurses' message board. I've found quite a bit sometimes on the various specialty message boards out there, but I think the quickest way to locate that is through a search engine rather than bookmarking each individual site and trying to figure out which ones to search for a particular term.
Working out of folder
I d/l doc/voice files off system and put into folder.   I get the docs out of the folder, click on same job number on player and away I go.  When done, I put back into system manually, when I am ready to.  I don't have to wait for platform to open doc. and I don't have to wait for platform to load it back into system before I can move on to the next job, I have control over that.  I have found that the more control I have over my jobs, the quicker and more efficiant I can be.
Put the files in their own folder then
right click to send to zip folder. Beware that you may not compress the files enough if you are sending them.
In your programs folder under

function?

direct all her mail to its own folder
most email clients allow you to do this. Then once a month delete it all. It never shows up in your main in-box
Just go to "open", go to your template folder - sm
open up the document/template you want, make your changes and save it. Very simple. I do it all the time with letters (put in the date so I don't have to type it 20 times).
yes. outlook 2003 has a sent folder also, but--sm
it is all added in to the quota email set by ISP. sent folder, inbox folder, local folder whatever, it is all a part of the ISP quota for email capacity. I use Time Warner Cable Roadrunner and even with biz class, capacity for email storage, sent, inbox, etc. is 256mb. that is all I am saying about this. I don't want to start a flaming argument..
I invoiced my folder for today and at 10 cpl for a
65-character line WITH spaces it came to $140.90. The invoice for the same folder with 7.5 on gross line NOT including blank lines came to $148.90. Hope that helps.
I have mine all upload from a folder on my PC.
I just go and periodically clean out that folder.
