If you don't go to the restroom much

you're not getting enough fluids, either in your diet or just flat out not drinking enough water.  If you eat any processed foods at all, get rid of as much as possible.  Processed foods are loaded with sodium.  Get a small alarm clock or timer and set it to remind yourself to get up every hour and walk back and forth around the house for five minutes.  You need to get up and move a little more often.  I had some of the same problems - not so bad I couldnt' get socks on, but to where I was uncomfortable.  Like the other poster said, if I have anything that has more sodium in it than usual I'll have a problem.

I also have made a concerted effort to lose weight this past year.  I have noticed that with every pound I drop, the swelling and puffiness gets a little bit better.
