IC

Are you an IC with one of the large nationals?  Definition of an IC is that you set your own rate, hours, etc. otherwise you are considered an SE or employee.   Did you sign a contract specifying what and how you are being paid?   Check it out.  I don't know about the large companies but smaller ones, you set your own rate, etc.  If they don't agree they don't use you.

      • Contact the IRS and the DOL pronto then because ICs cannot be employees - .
