maybe you should approach someone with your concern and frustration. Let them know the issues that are causing you trouble and ask if someone can work with you to help you over the humps.
If they know you really care and want to overcome any problem areas, they should be less likely to dump you.
Also, if you feel they are picking about things that shouldn't matter, I would ask them about it.
You might want to bring up a little something with your co-workers too. You might find others are having similar problems and feel too threatened to talk about it as well.
Also, you could tell us some of the things QA is giving you a rough time over and find out if this is out of the ordinary or how others overcame the same mistakes.
I also know from my own experience when doing report types that are more complicated and unfamiliar it causes additional problems ... poor typing flow (even in spots where the dictation is clear and familar terms) and extra mistakes.
It is such a process. If they hired you knowing you were green in that area, they should be able to give you a break.
I feel the same way, if they give me work they know is beyond my experience, my line count and pay suffer; so they should give me a break on speed. Both (company and myself) are sacrificing in order for me to learn and gain experience.
