Okay, yes I was the MT on the show. No, neither my husband, nor the other mother actually did any kind of tx. It was all stuff I made up, that the production company put on a hand-held microrecorder...it was impossible for them to do my job due to HIPAA rules and they could not just step into my job. The TX I made up I used extremely hard words, but by the time it was printed, given to the assistant at the production company and they recorded it, it was impossible to even begin go type it. In all actuality I did not do her job either. I sat through one extremely boring meeting and then went home. Everything was done in scripted moments so they could get what they needed to show what their premise of the show was. I caught a lot of flack last time this aired from MTs around america for my portrayal...and I apologized then. Sorry if I have offended anyone, did not portray it in the light it deserves, but if I had know (the show had never aired before my filming) what the show was actually about and not believed what I was told by ABC, then I would have NEVER done it. I would never have let my husband be portrayed to be a chauvanist, would not have made this job I do look like anyone can do it...but once I signed the contract (which stated they could sue me for 5 million) I was stuck. Sadly stuck. Anyway, just thought I would let you all know, they did no actual transcribing.
