You can be banned for posting these type of questions on this board. At least that is....
what they told me. Unless they are selective on style/word/abbreviation questions being asked here. Hmmm. I wonder.
They have been banned from posting here as well
as at many other MT sites as well. Their software costs around $400, but you don't actually buy the software from them, but a company that they say you have to buy it from. Many, many times the software has not worked and TA said it isn't their problem cause you didn't buy it from them and the software company will not refund $$. There are more than 30 complaints against them on file with the BB. In the many years that they have been suckering people I have only heard one person who ever got real work for which she got paid.
The owners have moved to a different state at least once. They probably moved to FL because of no state tax. They claim to be upstanding religious people and they should be shamed of themselves.
It is common knowledge that they are a scam and it has been posted here as well as other boards for years. If you Google them I'm sure you'll find all kinds of garbage about them. They were even listed in one non-MT magazine to avoid them.
I don't know why they aren't in jail.

If it were only adding up to three bucks, I wouldn't sweat it. $100? Yeah, that's baseball registration for my son for this year. I am not giving tabs, returns, etc. away free when it adds up to that much difference! Why should I charge less for a Return than I would for a"K"?

I agree with the moderator and the thing that bothers me is that some take up so much of some of the boards, that they seem to "overcome" and this is why in desperation, some say, "Please help me on".....xyz board because they know the board they should be posting on has only one or two posters. Albeit, these posters are helpful also, but don't you think it would be wise to allow only a certain number of posts per day on certain boards to allow someone else to get a word in edgewise? Then there would not be so many "lockouts" and posts on the main board. I was in a situation that was of importance to my future business and I did ask for help on a board which seemed to have only one or two posters lately, and I was shut down. This is not a punitive message, just a suggestion that sometimes we are desperate to be helped. This board is an excellent source of communication and I would hate to see anything negative happen here. Just a suggestion. Carry on the good work!

Pay for Diff Accounts
It seems to me that the pay per line should vary according to the difficulty of the account.
Everyone agrees that the line count can be totally different from one account to the other, so why doesn't the pay vary? That would be the fair way to do it.
Does anyone know of a company who does that?

What is the diff between these two? And do most of you have set hours that work as a subcontractor or do you pretty much have flexible hours? Thanks!

YES, MQ pays shift diff but you have to ask for it. SM
I complained bitterly about it and they gave me half a cent per line for nights and weekends. Adds up to about $75 per check and YES, it is paid on my bimonthly check.

I have worked for companied in a diff. state - sm
than I live in. I have not have to pay the other states tax. You just have to pay the tax for the state you live in and of course Federal tax and SE tax as well. I have my DH take extra out of his paycheck to cover my SE taxes. Last year owed about 15% of my net after write offs. But the rule of thumb is to reserve about 30% of your gross to cover state and federal, and SE taxes; and if you think you are going to owe pay quarterly to avoid any penalties. I have not "owed" to date as my husband as enough dededucted, but when I think that may change I will start making payments quartly.

Glade Products are the worst for me. They are to terrible and ought to be outlawed. I cannot be around them AT ALL and have to leave if they are used anywhere, in churches, homes, etc. Apparently some people are not at all sensitive to them, but they ought to know that other people are very horrendously affected. It is all chemical, either you are sensitive or you aren't, and the people who are not just simply are not. But the people who are suffer real pain and so I think no one should use them. Why would you want to expose the people who are sensitive? Just my opinion.

cherrypicking co-worker issue (meant to post it on this board instead of MQ board) sm...
I need opinions please...I work on a very small account with just a handful of ladies. Because of the nature of the software (trying not to get too specific here) we can see who is working online and what reports they are working on in real-time...
We have one cherrypicker on the account. Instead of using FIFO method, she retrieves the reports by author ID - usually picking the better dictators of course. She knows I busted her and she did admit to it in on our work e-mail (not too bright) which I am saving just in case she gets out of hand - so far I'm still able to make money since really most of the dictators aren't bad.
But every night it's starting to wear on me since she's screwing up turnaround time. I don't really want to cause a big uproar being that it is such a small account and I need to work with her almost every night usually one on one.
What would you all do? I want to handle this as delicate and professional as possible because we can't really afford to lose anyone on this account. In other words, I refuse to stoop to her level by cherrypicking right back.
My boss has asked me several times why so-and-so does so much more than I do...I just bite my lip at that point but one of these days I think I might explode and just open up a can of worms....
