when my kids were younger and I wanted the summers off. I would work only during the school year and only when they were actually in school (i.e., no Christmas break or spring break work). I really liked it a lot. I also had several places offer me permanent positions after. I think I was pretty lucky, though, because I never had a placement that I didn't enjoy. I only had to take a typing test and then kind of general knowledge sort of test, grammar and usage as well as just some office scenario types of things. It was no big deal at all.
