I think you have a right to question

The experience I had was an unusual one in that I did 3 days on and 2 days at home.  However, they did not pay any of my expenses, but did give me health benefits.  I hate to rain on your parade, but my experience was the ultimate outcome of being outsourced.  It is my experience that when a hospital is using a service for overflow it is to get the service to learn the account and also be there when the employees are laid off.  Sorry to say, but this happens time and time again.  If the hospital hires a service, they know the work will get done no matter what and if they keep employees then they must give out benefits including vacation and sick time.  However, working on-site for a hospital in this day and age, there is always the fear that it will be outsourced, so you have to learn to live with that notion.
