I think this just proves

In Reply to: this is a loaded ? sm - many conflicting OPs
that every company isn't right for everyone. This is the reason I said I don't make referrals with or without a referral bonus. Obviously some are happy with MQ and that is great. For those who aren't, there are other options. I feel for those who run out of work. After so many times reading the same complaints crying about no money and refusing to help themselves, the only advice I have is "sympathy" is between s*it and syphilis in Websters.

If this is the case, this proves that..
the people in the MTSO can decide which MT gets which report, isn't it?
And that it is not by random or according to ' the oldest first, etc...'
So, the 'friends' get the best dictations in their queues and the newbies and those who are not so 'popular' get the crap.
Isn't it like that?
They just do not want to admit it.
OMG - this proves my point
about this business. I can't believe you're asking such a ridiculous question. Would you be that concerned if your didn't do transcription and worked a normal 8 to 5 Monday through Friday job? NO!. What a stupid thing to say. Good example of why this buisness is going to the red dots.
Only proves one thing
Per the above posts in this thread, those folks who wrote the BOS are not the experts they claim to be. I often wondered whether the rules proclaimed in the BOS were just the result of the personal preferences of the writers of the BOS. It appears that they didn't do much research into details.
I hope your trust proves to be well placed.
And I'm glad to know you have looked into their background so that you can feel more comfortable with your decision to be charitable. Keeping you in my prayers. I wish you were my neighbor. For one thing, I like Shelties. For another, you seem like a person I would be proud to call a friend (and you'd set a very good example for my family--me included!).
Yah it proves how HIGHLY intelligent she is.
was for adults? You go girl? What are you 17? Sounds like something my daughter says.
The above post proves my point. _sm_
NEWS FLASH: MT is a NEVER-ENDING, continual process of learning. I've been at this biz for 35 years (and took all my tests honestly, and my resume is 100% accurate, thank you very much), and I still continue to learn each and every day that I transcribe. 99% of that learning is done by my own research.
But sometimes a person's ears can deceive them, or a new doctor that is hard to understand can come along that we can't transcribe completely. Usually QA has dealt with these guys before, and are familiar with the terms that stump me. (You can't look something up if you can't even tell for sure what the word SOUNDS like.)
Yes, QA is for quality-assurance. But the only way to IMPROVE quality is to help the MTs with their ongoing learning process.
What's REALLY frustrating is when you people first tell us one thing, and then a few days later, you tell us something entirely different. You contradict yourselves to the point of being the "joke" you talk about. Too bad your manager can't get all of you on the same page at least SOME of the time!
Anyway, your post sounds exactly like the snippy little emails I get whenever I ask QA an honest question, or send something to them that I have a gut feeling is wrong, but have no samples available to double-check.
Yes, it does only take one rotten apple to spoil the whole barrel, and QA-people with your attitude should be shoved down the garbage-grinder.
:p
I hope this proves to all MTSOs who say they are forced to lower their rates that if MQ can get 20,
All they need to do is stick to their guns. Our rates should not be falling. MQ does not even have the good quality that half of these other services do.
