If you are the type who will still get out of the house and maintain some social networks, it can be great.
If you are the type who will end up becoming too isolated, it's not a good thing to work at home.
I was a stay-at-home mom when my kids were little. I ended up being home way too much (and hubby rarely was there which made it worse). Now my kids are grown and I am Mting from home (stumbled into it in the recent past) and I am again home waaaay too much. Plus I don't even have kids at home with me now!
It's not the best set up for me, but it's awesome for others.
