the fact that we have heard these names, phrases, drugs repeatedly used by many different dictators so we are familar with them.

Two docs where I work had difficulty pronouncing several drugs, and it drove me crazy to the point that I finally asked one of them why he pronounced it that way. He looked at me like I was nuts and said it was because that's the way he had always heard it so that's what he thought was right.
