a professional. I would no more mention to a soul that I knew a patient there than I would tell about a boil on a neighbor's bottom if I were the doctor.

I'm in the minority
but I like Elliott. I think he has shown more growth than any of the others. He has a great voice. His personality and confidence is building more each week.
But realistically I don't think he has the numbers to win and so I would say Taylor because I really don't care for "Kat" at all. I think they are all great, and when I say all I include CHRIS in that because he is FANTASTIC!!!
Am I in the minority here?
I've got a bachelors degree in criminal justice and associate degrees in paralegal and fashion merchandising. Have done all those jobs/careers and WANTED to become an MT and, yes, I am a work-at-home mom of a young child. I'm just gonna ride this train as long as I can. I guess I just don't feel scared about the future of MT as I have some things to fall back on.
Just know you are in the minority, so
consider yourself lucky. Most MTSOs don't care if you are CMT or not
Thanks! You are in the minority sm
as to your opinion. I caught a lot of flack for that post but I have been wanting to say that for years! I made up my mind years ago to be the best I could be at this and haven't had any problems so far, low money or high money. We can thank the MT schools for this mindset of making lots money versus patient care! Oh its too early to get started today!
I Guess I'm the Minority Here
I don't care for them. I was "trained" (I say that term loosely) on them and typed straight OPs for 8 months. To me, they were boring. I could type up a C-section or arthroscopy in my sleep now. I agree that the hardest part is getting the instruments down.
I'm doing ER reports now for a large hospital in a large city, and they are interesting.
I might have liked OPs better if I had started with a different, better company, but I like what I do now.
Good luck with whatever comes your way!
I'm sure I'll be in the minority here. sm
When we were sent home from the hospital 12 years ago, my son was 4. We were told at that time we had to have set hours and if we had young children, they should be in daycare. My son is an only child, and we are older parents, so he actually benefited a great deal from the socialization. He is a sophomore in high school, and after watching other "onlies" around him, I'm very grateful for the choice I made.
I'm sure it is different for others, but the bottom line is, if you are really dedicated to having a career, you need the space to yourself, to concentrate, especially if you're just learning. You will always be there if she is sick or hurt. Daycare is expensive and good ones are hard to find, but the experience can be invaluable to children.
I salute people who manage to be high producers with children in the house, but I'm not one of them. JMO.
Poor hardworking mostly minority?
You are so wrong. He may not have grasped the vastness of the situation, but I don't think anybody else did either. I think they do now. I wondered when people would get around to blaming the response on race. You're a little slow.
We're in the minority but glad
to see I'm not alone :)...
minority usually has the loudest voice
Glad somebody agrees. I like to think we are part of the more quiet majority.
You're in the majority, not the minority. There's
not much difference, which is why VR is a ripoff. I won't do VR unless they decide to make the pay fair for it.
You're in the minority pay-wise, but hey, as long
as you're making your money, screw everyone else.
Let's get real. You're one of the SLIM minority who was lucky enough
to land a job that pays you extra for the CMT. 90% or more of services DON'T give a hoot about the CMT and they're not going to give a hoot about the RMT either!
Except, you are in the minority. It's RARE when MTSOs actually pay extra for CMTs.
