He has gotten better with that, though every now and then he asks why his shirt/pants/whatever was not washed....I reiterate, because it wasn't in the hamper. It's like training a dog really. Just keep doing it until they figure it out. Granted they train us too, I already pick up about 50 paper towels a day that he can't seem to make it to the trashcan with...slight exaggeration of course (10 really)....funny thing is my dad does the exact same thing, must be a guy thing. As RadGuy says they are lazy. My DH pulls the "I don't know how to do it" thing all the time, which I know to be total bull. He is actually quite handy around the house though but it takes quite a while usually to actually get him to do whatever the project might be. As for the battle of wills, I usually lose after a week since it drives me nuts, except when we moved, I lasted a whole YEAR, then finally unpacked his T-shirts and other dress shirts since the box just sat in our bedroom all that time still packed. Finally caved in on that one. Crazy.

Washed my keyboard in the DW
and now it is FRIED! I did as directed but it will not work. Has been drying out now for about 8 days, just peeps when I plug it back in! It was my favorite too! boo hoo.
I washed my keyboard in the dishwasher and
it worked like a charm.  Use about 10% of normal dishwashing compound, but do not put through the dry cycle.  I put mine on the patio where it is nice and warm and let it dry for 3 days.   I had read about this before but was afraid to try it, but I had to get a new keyboard, so experimented.  Might save me from buying 3 or 4 boards a year.  (My keyboards like coffee, water, coke, etc, so they get a little sticky after I feed them on schedule.)
On other board some have put washed them or put them in dishwasher (NO dry cycle). Then dry out in
