Subject: Fw: Australians Say speak English
Please if you have not done so contact your government officials and let them know we want ENGLISH to stand as the language for America.
WOW!!! This is powerful. I agree with every word of the Prime
Minister's statements. Why can't we be like that? How come we don't
have a leader who will stand up like John Howard?
Subject: Australians Say speak English
Canada and the U. S. Need A Leader Like This!
Prime Minister John Howard - Australia
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday
to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to
head off potential terror attacks.
Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying
he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote: '
IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired
of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or
their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have experienced a
surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.'
' This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials
and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'
' We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese,
Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to
become part of our society . Learn the language!'
' Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right
wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on
Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly
documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our
schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of
the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'
' We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is
that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with
us.'
' This is OUR COUNTRY, O UR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you
every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining,
whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs,
or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other
great Australian freedom, ' THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'
' If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here.
You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'
Maybe if we circulate this amongst ourselves, CANADIAN & American
citizens will find the backbone to start speaking and voicing the same
truths.

I have received the email too
I also have received an email and called them and they mentioned AAMT, which I do not belong to either. I have never even posted on this board before, but do receive the posting through email. I dont know where they received my email address and they did not know either.
I just received an email
from my company saying that due to the storm the work was very low, one clinic closed and the other one was basically out of work (at least for what I do which is outpatient)....
Hahaha. I just know I received it in an email
and regardless of the author, it is well written and speaks my perspective perfectly!
Thanks for the information, though!
I received an email also, but I'm not taking it
I'm not a member of the AAMT, I am not going to get my CMT, and I'm not taking this test either. I don't agree with anything the AAMT is doing nowadays and I will not give them any of my money. From what I gather being an RMT or CMT isn't really going to get you much further in this business anyway.
I received an email from Susan Poe, too. TO MODERATOR: SM
How should I handle this? With all due respect to ajc0197, I do not know who ajc0197 is, so I'm wary to contact this person. Since this scam email came from MT Stars, perhaps it is MT Stars who should and would prefer to handle it for us.
Please advise with ID. Thanks.
Here is part of the email my husband received from his IT department at work..sm
It has been widely reported that a newly discovered Windows flaw will result in several new computer viruses over the next few days.
This new virus is launched by visiting web sites that are infected with this virus or by receiving infected e-mails. You will not be able to know if the web site is infected.
The anti-virus software vendors are working on a system update to fix this issue, but as of now, it has not been provided. Also, Microsoft is working on a patch that will fix the root cause of this problem.
Makes me very nervous also!
Got this in my email this morning, thought I would share--sm
Rev. John Powell, a professor at Loyola University in Chicago writes
about Tommy, a student in his Theology of Faith class.
>
> Some twelve years ago, I stood watching my university
students file into the classroom for our first session in the Theology
of Faith. That was the day I first saw Tommy.
>
>
> My eyes and my mind both blinked. He was combing his long flaxen
hair, which hung six inches below his shoulders. It was the first time I
had ever seen a boy with hair that long. I guess it was just coming into
fashion then.
>
> I know in my mind that it isn't what's on your head but what's in
it that counts; but on that day, I was unprepared and my emotions
flipped. I immediately filed Tommy under "S" for strange... very
strange.
>
> Tommy turned out to be the "atheist in residence" in my Theology
of Faith course. He constantly objected to, smirked at, or whined about
the possibility of an unconditionally loving Father/God.
>
> We lived with each other in relative peace for one semester,
although I admit he was for me at times a serious pain in the back pew.
>
> When he came up at the end of the course to turn in his final
exam, he asked in a cynical tone, "Do you think I'll ever find God?"
>
> I decided instantly on a little shock therapy. "No," I said very
emphatically.
>
> "Why not?" he responded. "I thought that was the product you were
pushing."
>
> I let him get five steps from the classroom door and then called
out, "Tommy I don't think you'll ever find Him, but I am absolutely
certain that He will find you."
>
> He shrugged a little and left my class and my life.
>
> I felt slightly disappointed at the thought that he had missed my
clever line: "He will find you" At least I thought it was clever.
>
> Later, I heard that Tommy had graduated and I was duly grateful.
>
> Then a sad report came. I heard that Tommy had terminal cancer.
>
> Before I could search him out, he came to see me. When he walked
into my office, his body was very badly wasted and the long hair had all
fallen out as a result of chemotherapy. But his eyes were bright and his
voice was firm, for the first time, I believe.
>
> "Tommy, I've thought about you so often. I hear you are sick," I
blurted out.
>
> "Oh, yes, very sick. I have cancer in both lungs. It's a matter of
weeks."
>
> "Can you talk about it, Tom?" I asked.
>
> "Sure, what would you like to know?" he replied.
>
> "What's it like to be only twenty-four and dying?" I asked.
>
> "Well, it could be worse," he replied.
>
> "Like what?" I asked.
>
> "Well, like being fifty and having no values or ideals; like being
fifty and thinking that booze, seducing women, and making money are the
real biggies' in life," he replied.
>
> I began to look through my mental file cabinet under 'S' where I
had filed Tommy as strange. (It seems as though everybody I try to
reject by classification, God sends back into my life to educate me.)
>
> "But what I really came to see you about," Tom said, "is something
you said to me on the last day of class." (He remembered.) He continued,
"I asked you if you thought I would ever find God and you said 'No',
which surprised me. Then you said, 'But He will find you.' I thought
about that a lot, even though my search for God was hardly intense at
that time."
>
> (My clever line. He thought about that a lot.)
>
> "But when the doctors removed a lump from my groin and told me
that it was malignant, that's when I got serious about locating God.
>
> And when the malignancy spread into my vital organs, I really
began banging bloody fists against the bronze doors of heaven. But God
did not come out. In fact, nothing happened.
>
> "Did you ever try anything for a long time with great effort and
with no success? You get psychologically glutted, fed up with trying.
And then you quit.
>
> "Well, one day I woke up, and instead of throwing a few more
futile appeals over that high brick wall to a God who may be or may not
be there, I just quit. I decided that I didn't really care about God,
about an after life, or anything like that. I decided to spend what time
I had left doing something more profitable.
>
> "I thought about you and your class and I remembered something
else you had said: 'The essential sadness is to go through life without
loving. But it would be almost equally sad to go through life and leave
this world without ever telling those you loved that you had loved
them..'
>
> "So, I began with the hardest one, my Dad. He was reading the
newspaper when I approached him.
>
> "Dad."
>
> "Yes, what?" he asked without lowering the newspaper.
>
> "Dad, I would like to talk with you."
>
> "Well, talk."
>
> "I mean... it's really important."
>
> The newspaper came down three slow inches.
>
> "What is it?"
>
> "Dad, I love you. I just wanted you to know that."
>
> Tom smiled at me and said it with obvious satisfaction, as though
he felt a warm and secret joy flowing inside of him.
>
> "The newspaper fluttered to the floor. Then my father did two
things I could never remember him ever doing before. He cried and he
hugged me. We talked all night, even though he had to go to work the
next morning. It felt so good to be close to my father, to see his
tears, to feel his hug, to hear him say that he loved me.
>
> "It was easier with my mother and little brother. They cried with
me, too, and we hugged each other, and started saying real nice things
to each other. We shared the things we had been keeping secret for so
many years. I was only sorry about one thing, that I had waited so
long.. Here I was, just beginning to open up to all the people I had
actually been close to.
>
> "Then, one day I turned around and God was there. He didn't come
to me when I pleaded with Him. I guess I was like an animal trainer
holding out a hoop: 'C'mon, jump through. C'mon, I'll give You three
days, three weeks.'
>
> "Apparently God does things in His own way and at His own hour..
But the important thing is that He was there. He found me. You were
right. He found me even after I stopped looking for Him."
>
> "Tommy," I practically gasped, "I think you are saying something
very important and much more universal than you realize. To me, at
least, you are saying that the surest way to find God is not to make Him
a private possession, a problem solver, or an instant consolation in
time of need, but rather by opening to love. You know, the Apostle John
said that. He said: 'God is love, and anyone who lives in love is living
with God and God is living in him.'
>
> "Tom, could I ask you a favor? You know, when I had you in class
you were a real pain. But (laughingly) you can make it all up to me now.
Would you come into my present Theology of Faith course and tell them
what you have just told me? If I told them the same thing it wouldn't be
half as effective as if you were to tell it."
>
> "Oh, I was ready for you, but I don't know if I'm ready for your
class."
>
> "Tom, think about it. If and when you are ready, give me a call."
>
> In a few days, Tom called, said he was ready for the class, that
he wanted to do that for God and for me. So we scheduled a date.
However, he never made it.
>
> He had another appointment, far more important than the one with
me and my class. Of course, his life was not really ended by his death,
only changed He made the great step from faith into vision. He found a
life far more beautiful than the eye of man has ever seen or the ear of
man has ever heard or the mind of man has ever imagined.
>
> Before he died, we talked one last time. "I'm not going to make it
to your class," he said.
>
> "I know, Tom."
>
> "Will you tell them for me? Will you tell the whole world for me?"
>
> "I will, Tom. I'll tell them. I'll do my best."
>
> So, to all of you who have been kind enough to read this simple
story about God's love, thank you for listening. And to you, Tommy,
somewhere in the sunlit, verdant hills of heaven... I told them, Tommy,
as best I could.
>
> If this story means anything to you, please pass it on to a friend
or two. It is a true story and is not enhanced for publicity purposes.

> With thanks,

I don't understand. I didn't get email from MT Stars, I got email from offshore people
is what I'm talking about. I'm not a liar and take offense to your insinuation.
They can send an email that goes to all MTs in one shot. I think she just means a courtesy email
would be nice. MQ is not getting any easier. My account has been picked over thoroughly when it went on DQS by ASR and I get all the remains because they only have a core group doing ASR which I think is wrong because you get all the bad dictators and it would be nice to be acknowledged that at least you know the person you can discuss problems with as they crop up. This is a big one and we have no manager anymore and no one to discuss this with at all in my office so you just sit here very day doing this work and no way to vent to someone that could offer some suggestions on this and other issues that come up to help relieve some of the stress of working this way.
Just send an email to the email link inside the post.

Again, because you entered your email address, you CAN receive email from anyone, but THEY
e-mail address because it is not revealed when they send mail because we have spam protection in place. The only way they would know what your email address is, is if you reply to the email they send you. If you don't want to receive any email from anyone, simply do not enter your email address in the Email field.

I intended to email it- already email the mods to remove

Not through the MTStars email server. Your email address is NOT
visible to anyone. The only way your employer would know it is you is 1) if you respond when someone emails you, or 2) they recognize the way you write.

San Antonio; email me; I can give you email for MT sm
who is in San Antonio and may be able to help you.
I'm in Corpus.
I never received, and neither did my
We were all at the big M. I just resigned after almost a year, and did meet all of their criteria. However, their system isn't correct and even said that I was not going to be hired when my friend asked about her referral bonus. Mind you...I had already worked there for 6 months at this point. I keep getting "I will check on it" when I ask about my sign on bonus. I gave up and left.
I have received these before too. sm
I just deleted it and ignored it.
I received this because...
I received this because I had posted on this forum about increasing my production. This particular person emailed me through this board with that response. And no, I am not going to send my work overseas to them for those of you who are wondering. lol
Any other SS employees not received their..
paycheck? I am not looking to start anything, just wondering if I am the only one who hasn't gotten paid yet?
I received cookies
I received cookies from an MT company I know longer work for and of course nothing from the ones I do work for!!
How nice that he/she received it well. (nm)

I have received several things
I've had messages from companies wanting me to subcontract, individuals sending resumes, etc. Some have mentioned getting my e-mail address from this board. I just hit delete after maybe mumbling a few *#&(#*(! Yes, their writing skills are lacking. My severely dyslexic son can form a proper sentence and spell better than these people.
No - but I received a call from them.
Did you talk with Ann? I have a friend who worked with them for a while and she liked the company but had problems that prevented her from working very much. Do you know what account you will be working on?
I have received a few letters
so far. Keep those letters to The White House coming you guys! I am so trying to get our voices heard so that our careers may be saved. I am addressing outsourcing, offshoring, patient security, voice recognition and anything else that can come to mind concerning transcription. I want to have a packet of letters to mail off because that will have a greater impact versus just sending one letter here and there. Please join me! Deadline for sending letters is 1/28/09. Email me if you wanna join me:)
What did you click so that you received the
copy of the test? If you clcked the 'send' button and afterwards you received the completed copy of your test unedited) what's the problem, as your test was already gone. How could you have cheated if your test was already sent?
They immediately sent you a copy of your submitted test, unedited. for your files, as one cannot save testfiles.
I do not understand where your problem is?
Just wait for their response and I hope you get hired!
Have not received either imail or letter
regarding this subject. Would someone please summarize such email/letter in a post for us who have not received this info as of yet. TYIF
I received a letter from MQ CEO regarding the MT lawsuit
They have acknowledged the existance of lawsuit but in their CEO spin states only 3 (THREE) MTs are part of this action. I know I'm not part of the original 3 and I have joined the class action so either MQ CEO is blowing smoke or has his head up his A$$. Either way, it is typical of MQ CEO.
Has anyone ever received the referral bonus from MQ? sm
If so, how long did it take to get it and does it only apply if you are employee status?
...just went to the mailbox and have not received that letter as of yet. Thanks. nm.
nm.
What state are you in -- that you received the check already?
No check here, but does show up in ipay.
What does the attached letter say?
I received the same information yesterday.

I've actually received two raises from MQ...
just in the past three months!
I received an excellent education through M-TEC

Has anyone received a personal loan lately?
I had unexpected expenses and had to get a small one from HSBC. Here are the questions I was asked:
Do you have medical insurance? If so, what are the deductibles for hospital stays, office visits.
Do you have life insurance and if so, how much?
Do you have disability ins and if so, how much?
What is your home owner's insurance deductible?
What is car insurance deductible?
Who are your insurance carriers?
I do not recall these types of questions. I ended up buying 10/mo insurance coverage which includes disability and life insurance...for $2600. I am 48.
Is this new?
Has anyone here ever received a response or job offer SM
from posting your resume in the resume bank at MTStars? TIA!
AAMT--just received an invitation--sm
to participate in an international professional and cultural program in China. Cost is $4,995.00 per participant and guest--spouses encouraged to attend. Anyone going??
Received one also -- saving my pennies
Got my yesterday in the mail. Thought that they changed their name. And I thought it was personally addressed to me. Don't know how they got my name and my business name as I do not belong to the organization. Anyway gotta get my reservation in by December 20th or so.
I received the same e-mail. It came through with MTStars
on it just like every other e-mail I get through here does. All they would have to do is open a post and e-mail, they wouldn't have to now the address.
Still waiting: $60 earned or received? nm

Just received e-mail of new virus
Sent: Friday, November 14, 2008 11:54:53 AM Subject: FW: NEW VIRUS WARNING!
With Christmas fast approaching . . . . . . . . . . .watch out for this... be alert..
Please read the following. It applies to FedEx and UPS
================================================
The newest virus circulating is the UPS Delivery Failure. You will receive an email from UPS Packet Service along with a packet number. NOTE: The word packet is mis-spelled on this line. It will say that they were unable to deliver a package sent to you on such and such a date. It then asks you to print out the invoice copy attached.
DON'T TRY TO PRINT THIS. IT LAUNCHES THE VIRUS!
Pass this warning on to all your PC operators at work and home. This virus has caused Millions of dollars in damage in the past few days.
Snopes confirms that it is real: http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/ups.asp
well i just received my letter today.

I never received 1099 forms when I
was an IC. I worked for a hospital for almost 10 years plus had other docs and an attorney. The attorney did give me one every year and it never conformed to my figures but I never had a problem.
I received an opt-out of a class action
lawsuit involving a certain MTSO and the other party involved (think it was formerly AAMT). Anyway, since I won't get a dime even after having been ripped off all those years, I just threw it in the garbage. AAMT, or whatever they call themselves now, plans on keeping ALL settlement monies for their greedy little selves.
When I worked for the MTSO there were rumors flying around about the 90 character line count that was then converted to 55 characters before going to the client. The MTSO pocketed the rest. Guess it really wasn't a rumor after all. How sad.
I also received a note today about hiring more if
we don't stay in turnaround, however, we WERE in turn-around!! I don't understand!
I was just recently switched to Amherst from another office on the West Coast (our account is now managed by Amherst, I should say). Was told it would be a great move for me, that they were an awesome team to work with. However, I've been threatened several times now by the threat that more will be hired if the work isn't caught up. What's up with that???
According to the Medquist Style Guidelines that I received,
it states that the one space rule applies following a period, in numeric lists, and following a colon. I received these guidelines in March from MQ. This is what I would go by. I was told that if I spaced twice I would receive a penalty on my QA reviews. Obviously, you are the uninformed one, so see ya later wench.
The last call I received after a huge mailing (sm)
And I mean huge, over 200 brochures with over 25 years of experience and a digital system -- they were willing to pay about 9 cents a line for surgery notes. Since I live in California, 16 cents would be more like it. I guess I'm not that flexible.
They must have answered that India ad.
Has anyone received their W2 from Spheris or Webmedx. Yes, I work for both.
x
My daughter received SSI as she was born with a handicap, but (sm)
I believe it did go by what you made. I was a single parent at the time. Are there any associations maybe that are affiliated with your son's illness who might be able to point you in the right direction. Maybe help with prescriptions, if he takes any? I really feel for you, I know it's rough.
