How should I handle this? With all due respect to ajc0197, I do not know who ajc0197 is, so I'm wary to contact this person. Since this scam email came from MT Stars, perhaps it is MT Stars who should and would prefer to handle it for us.

I also have received an email and called them and they mentioned AAMT, which I do not belong to either. I have never even posted on this board before, but do receive the posting through email. I dont know where they received my email address and they did not know either.

from my company saying that due to the storm the work was very low, one clinic closed and the other one was basically out of work (at least for what I do which is outpatient)....

I'm not a member of the AAMT, I am not going to get my CMT, and I'm not taking this test either. I don't agree with anything the AAMT is doing nowadays and I will not give them any of my money. From what I gather being an RMT or CMT isn't really going to get you much further in this business anyway.

I do not doubt the hundreds of resumes MTSOs receive today in response to job postings will dwindle to a handful. The entire credentialing process is geared to one way only, and that is lining the pockets of those who have led the way to destroy a once honorable profession. Why would anyone want to go through the process to earn a substandard living today, certification not withstanding? Does anyone think the MTSOs are going to pay a much higher premium for a credentialed MT? Come on...get real. If they are outsourcing today to make more money, does anyone really think they will bring those jobs back and pay EACH AND EVERY credentialed MT a livable wage, money out of their pockets?

It has been widely reported that a newly discovered Windows flaw will result in several new computer viruses over the next few days.
This new virus is launched by visiting web sites that are infected with this virus or by receiving infected e-mails. You will not be able to know if the web site is infected.
The anti-virus software vendors are working on a system update to fix this issue, but as of now, it has not been provided. Also, Microsoft is working on a patch that will fix the root cause of this problem.
Makes me very nervous also!

Susan.....I recently bought a new keyboard,
one of those ones with two separate halves with tenting, supposed to be ergonmic (love it BTW)....the first, I'd say 3 days, I actually thought I'd have to send it back because of a slight difference in key location, kept hitting the wrong keys, etc. However, after that time, I got used to it and no longer was hitting wrong keys.
Also, I'm pretty sure you can get a switch that turns a USB into a round and vice versa. You could try calling a computer/electronic store or googling.

would be nice. MQ is not getting any easier. My account has been picked over thoroughly when it went on DQS by ASR and I get all the remains because they only have a core group doing ASR which I think is wrong because you get all the bad dictators and it would be nice to be acknowledged that at least you know the person you can discuss problems with as they crop up. This is a big one and we have no manager anymore and no one to discuss this with at all in my office so you just sit here very day doing this work and no way to vent to someone that could offer some suggestions on this and other issues that come up to help relieve some of the stress of working this way.

What I am hearing is some want a tranquil place to take a break yet still discuss things pertaining to MT, like a conversation you would have drinking a cup of coffee at Starbucks or Barnes and Noble. I don't think a lot of the opinions going back and forth would sit well in a peaceful environment. They would probably have to call security.
I don't think bringing it up will help the situation but I think that it's the arguments after an opinion is given that the OP is referring to. Can't speak for the OP but ....
maybe a meditation board or quiet room board might help...

There is absolutely no need for someone to make these kind of statements to a mother. If her purpose is just to cause upset, then clearly she has no place here. Do the right thing.

I've been trying for weeks to get into chat. No matter what name/password I use, it won't let me in. I tried to reregister and it consistently tells me I'm not using at least six letters in my password even though the ones I've tried are 6 and 9, and then today it finally admitted I already had an account but when I clicked the lost password part it sent me to Error 404. I'm about to give up. Am I not holding my mouth right or something??? Hope you can help and get me into chat again.

I've emailed the administrator twice now and received no response (even gave her a few of the passwords that I know I've used on the internet).  I used to go into chat once in a while to see if anyone was there, but in the past few months I haven't been able to. I tried every password I know I've used and even tried to re-add myself, but it says I'm already in the system (I know that because I used to be able to get into chat). I've asked to have the password sent to me but it's never showed up. How can I get my password sent to me again?

How do we get tot he Gab board and "funny" board - there is no selection - the only way I was able to get there was through your arrow when you moved it - will there be a selection for that forum on the forum main screen any time soon?
