It works very fast for me because the hospital I work for upgraded their network cable lines. Prior to that it could be very slow when there was a lot of dictating/transcribing going on.
The best part of it is that you can bring up old documents by patient or provider. You can also create normals. I do a lot of op notes so I have samples for each doc and procedure. If I don't have a sample, I can always search by provider and try to find one. Also if I am doing a DS for patient, I can search for the H&P to get info or help fill in blanks.
It has an Expander but I use Instant Text with it. It works on top of Word so if you are used to Word, it is easy to learn. Spell check was not so great so I use Sylvan spell check with it.
For negatives, inserting doctors names is a pain because you have to bring up cc screen to search doctor roster and then copy and paste, but other than that I like it.
