I have never had links on the left side. I have always had to go back to the home page to get them.

Is it just me, or have the links (on the left side) been eliminated?
I may have done something to cause how may page loads but I do not get the list of links, like the technical link, equipment, etc., showing up along the left side any longer. Is this a recent change or is is just happening to me because I did something??? If it is just me, how would I change it back. I can't get to any of the other forums unless I click on home and go from there. :(
TIA.
Links with blue background still on left side for me...
...
How I got my links back (in the left, blue area!)
I went to Tools, Internet Options and deleted Files and Cookies (although I don't know as though this had anything to do with it as I have done this MANY times in the past). I then experimented with my Norton Antivirus. You must do this at YOUR OWN RISK! Down in the right-hand corner of my screen, I chose "Disable Norton Internet Security" which when I reloaded the Main page here (after I had gone and done the above steps in Tools) it didn't make a difference. So, then I went back down to Norton Internet Security and chose "Disable Antivirus Auto-Protect" and reloaded the main page here and BINGO I had the links all back! I then Enabled all my NAV I had disabled, reloaded the page again and everything is still there! So, if this happens again, at least now I know how to get it back.
I thought I would share this info as I know there are others out there that has experienced this same problem and I have done everything the administration has suggested and it did not resolve the issue. So, apparently it has to do with Norton and I am not clear why Norton Antivirus (I would expect it more to be an Norton Internet Security issue) but in any event I am elated it worked! I hope it will work for someone else as well - again at your own risk. :)
I hope this might help administration/moderators to help others as well in the future. :)
This just made my day! :D

Someone please tell me what I need to change in NAV to get the left sided links back for the forums
I found over the w/e if I disable my Norton Internet Security and go to Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files and click on Delete All Off Line Content, and choose ok, I can get the links back on the left (in the blue area) but they won't stay. I assume I need to change something in Norton's Internet Security, but what?? Does anyone know? I have tried lots of things and can't seem to find what it is that will make this a permanent change as it won't stay this way.
Please help. TIA.
All the stuff along the left hand side disappeared. How do I get that back.

On the left hand side of screen, there is --sm

Hit the start button and look on the left side of the menu. NM

Why do some posts have yellow icons by the left side?
L-shaped desk, bookcase under the left side for my medical references
(homemade by my DH, of course), file cabinet to the left. Phone on the left side of L, mouse on the right, easy reaches for my aching elbows if I keep them in front of me. My desk faces my door to the office (sliding glass doors to the house) so I can see anyone who decides to just come in the door without knocking. If they knock, it takes me a minute or so to get to the door, but that's okay too. Even with my big L-shaped desk, I still have lots of extra clutter that I need to put away, file, throw away taking up my space, but at least I can find everything I need when I need it. :-)
Favorites list , horizontal on the left hand side, IE, version 2002? NM

On a lighter side, going back to
our dress code, when I started to work tonight my cat happened to walk into the room and the furnace has been coming on this week because the weather is getting colder and you know how the static is at first, well I have a long haired tort and I just happened to glance down at her and hair fur was standing out on end like one of those scary Halloween cats and I just burst out laughing and my grandson asked me what I was laughing at and I told him, and he said to me I don't know why your making fun of the cat, your hair looks like that all the time gram. Well I went straight upstairs and ran a comb through my hair, no wonder the mail man was afraid....Have a good night everyone....
go to Home Page
Mozilla home page
I used to have AOL. I got rid of it because it was expensive and I had security problems. Now it's free, but I can't tell if the part I miss is free, and I don't know enough to know if I can still be using Mozilla and have free AOL. I just don't get how all this stuff works - sorry. I hate to put this in question to a tech board because tech people really look down on AOL. But what I liked was the way you came to a page with a wide variety of news stories, pictures, and interesting stuff. There was a lot of fun customizing you could do with graphics, but mostly I think I miss the opening page. I have not come across anything with as much variety as far as AOL's page, say with Yahoo. Can I have a home page like that with Mozilla?
On my Dell, it's a green outlet 2/3 down the back side of the case. sm
I have that problem when I go from the computer to the phone and have to switch my headphones from stereo to mono (there's a switch and a volume dial on the cord of my headphones). When I'm connected to the computer I can use the stereo with no problems. It is possible that your headphones are only mono. I got my headphones at Radio Shack, nice long cord and volume in the cord. Hope you can figure this out. I'd rather transcribe from my computer than from the phone as the quality is MUCH better.
This is embarrassing, but how do I just go back a page
I just want to go to the previous page than the most recent one posted, but when I try searching archives, I click on the last number & it puts me in the month of May. Guess I'm missing something.
I cannot beleive this. I am back to getting page

I might consider going back to the one I left -
but only if current MT management was booted out. I know that'll never happen, of course, and I'd rather be poor than ever work for that harpy again.

My home page says it is Wednesday, not today - sm
they say they will have a memorial service at the zoo at the stadium there with 5000 in attendance and have big screens showing it in the zoo and in Queensland, Australia. They are to be televising the service then. So someone is wrong, either Animal Planet or my web site, but I will check it out just in case. Thanks.
Might want to check the Microsoft home page and see

We're at about $2,200 with only 1 child left at home.
My DIL gets about only $2,000 in SS benefits for herself and 3 children. We helped her set her basic living expenses (car, heating, electric and water) at just about $1,000 a month but by the time you add in groceries, gas, car insurance, cable and telephone she really feels the pinch.
Left a message, still no call back.
Will call again today.
No way - MQ is the pits, left 6 years ago and never looked back.
There is greener grass, believe me.
Going back home
It was awesome to see them visit back home and all the support they have there. Elliott's mom just makes me cry. Did you see when they were riding in the parade and his mom just hung her head and seemed so overwhelmed. She is so proud of her son. They are always showing their family/friends in the audience. I've been wondering about something though. Where are Katherine's friends? They show her parents all the time, but I don't recall seeing any of her close friends. Seems like she would have a ton there since she lives so close by.
Right-on.... if I went back it'd only be as an at-home
'in-house' person. I have no use for all the petty office rules, peering over shoulders, dress codes, politics, power-plays, etc. I'd rather have my cats as co-workers.
Love being back home...
but frustrating at times. Seems everyone wants my job. It's soooo easy they say. Now I'm not an expert by all means and I continue to learn as I go. Discipline is one of the keys...my poor house doesn't get cleaned anymore (I wonder when someone will notice).
And those moms who think I work at home and call on you to pick up their kids because their "working". That's my boiling point.javascript:editor_insertHTML('text','');

Sure! As soon as I'm back from my summer home in the Hamptons!
Can you cut your hours back at your current job and do MT at home PT? (sm)
This would be a way to break away some for your FT without actually giving it up and at the same time staying current in the outside world. Then if you had a PT or p.r.n. MT job at home, you could get a feel for how it would be.
Fine. Be sure to post back here in a year and tell me about her at-home job. nm

I worked at Home Depot awhile back
for 3 years in the paint department. I have done them all and also taught the classes on Sundays. You might want to call your local Home Depot and ask when they have their paint classes. Lots of information, and they should let you try out the techniques as well.
Left click on the taskbar and drag it back to the bottom. Once you've done that, right click on

You're so right - I gave my notice - 5 more days & Im back home!!
I worked at home 9 years - back in an office for a year -cannot WAIT to be back home again. Office politics and BS, silly little rules that make no sense, traffic, hours less in each day because you spend that time commuting, people who care if you have a $200 purse or not...when you work at home you can still have friends, but you get to choose who you spend your time with!
My 8-year-old threw up on the way home from family celebration Christmas Eve, all over the back seat
Then threw up approximately every hour from 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. Christmas morning. Not the Christmas I had planned, up cleaning bodily fluids all night. Somehow Santa managed to come overnight, too. My husband, me and the 2-year-old didn't get the bug until last night, it's vicious! Hopefully that's all over now and we can enjoy the rest of our vacation!
Update on Tom kitty - we brought him home Saturday and he is back to his playful self today. SM
I brought him home from the vet on Saturday. He was still running a temperature, but it was much lower - 103. It had been 106 when we took him to the vet. He was still lethargic, but had started to groom himself. I have antibiotics I have to give him twice a day, by Sunday afternoon he was becoming playful again and was drinking a lot more and started to eat more. Today, he is back to his old self. Attacking my PC wires and walking on my keyboard, trying to get my fingers when I type.
I am so relieved!
Just hit Alt+Shift+left arrow on line 1 and it will go to the left margin. Otherwise,
you need to use a numbered list style to do it every time. Each version is different, but you may already have a numbered list style in yours that stays at the left margin. Just assign a keyboard shortcut to that style.

Don't have time to look for more, but one time in school we had cheap glass bulb ornaments and we wrote our name and year on them with glue and then sprinkled with glitter. You could probably get bulbs/glitter at dollar store.
You might also want to go the dollar store and look for craft kits. I buy kits every year from a craft store and they usually make 6-12. If the tables in the room were in groups you could just take a paper plate and pour 1 kit out on each and they could share, or you could divide up the items into a baggie and make copies of the instructions.
You could take bagels (from the bakery outlet stores and cheap) and smear with peanut butter and then press in bird seed, attach some thread and hang on a tree near their classroom - unless you are wanting them to have something to take home. Can also use pine cones for this.
Buy some plain gingerbread man cookies and tubes of frosting and sprinkles and let them decorate them.
