Does anyone know how or if I can get my copy of spellex....sm
off of my old computer? I was able to get a free copy when I went to the VLC about two years ago. I never bought any of the updates...just kept using the one I had downloaded for free. I have since changed to a new computer, but cant seem to get that copy off of my old computer. I was never given a disk, just info to download it. I have a couple of small accouts that I am working on, but am not really in position to buy a whole new program, especially after I just dropped major money on an Windows XP!! Any help is greatly appreciated!! Do you think it is possible the VLC would "replace" it?
spellex is good
Yeah I have used spellex for awhile and its great!!!!! As far as the pedal it really depends on your setup and software that you are using. Hopefully that helps you out :)
I used to use Medispell but use spellex now!

it is not slow, by any means. perhaps it is your computer. Word 97 is pretty much outdated by now. Anyway, I have tried Abacus as well, and Spellex gave me more lines consistently, than abacus did. but that is just my experience.
Has Anyone heard of Spellex?
Thanks for your suggestions. Does Steadman's have a free trial. I did a search on Google and came across a company called Spellex. I downloaded the free trial from there website and it seems to be great so far. I am just curious if anyone else uses it?
I had a lot of problems with Spellex on the
last update, misspelled words, etc. I currently use Stedman's.
I have Used Spellex for Years
I have used Spellex for years. The Spell checker works in Word 2007. The line counter is another program. I am not familiar with the program you are talking about it. I know Spellex has free trials on there website so you can try it out before your buy. I hope this helps!

tell me which they think is better and why. I've always used Stedman's but DOS-based. Changing jobs and now need something Windows-based.
I know Spellex works with Vista
I have Vista and Office 2007 not buy choice it came preloaded with my new computer. I called Spellex and they sent me a new download link for the 2007 edition. You can go to there website and download a trial. I hope this helps! :)
I use Spellex Spell Checker
I have Vista and Office 2007 . I use Spellex Spell Check for Office 2007 and LOVE IT! :). You can go to there website and download a trial. I hope this helps! :)
I Would Try Spellex Spell Check
I believe you will need to purchase a new version. I had the same problem and Steadman's was not compatible with the Word 2007 version. So I did a Google search and found a company called Spellex that was compatible with Word 2007 and never thought about switching back. I think the new verison of Steadman's is compatible with Word 2007 now.
I hope this helps! :)
I Would Try Spellex Spell Check
I would try Spellex for the spell checker. I use it every day well worth every penny!!!!! I hope this helps

I have used Spellex for years never had a problem with the updates
I'm sorry to hear that. To each his/her own. I have used Spellex for years never had a problem with the updates. I would encourage anyone to try out software before you buy it.
Can't you just reinstall the Spellex? If the program .exe file is on your computer you should be
able to reinstall, unless upgrading totally re-formatted your hard drive, which I presume is the case here (this is where backing up things comes in handy). Maybe you can contact your school and ask for a new copy? As for cheap and good, I doubt the two go hand in hand. I use Stedman's Spellchecker and love it. Maybe you can look on ebay and get a copy that way for not too much $. Good luck.
Thanks for replies but does Spellex make Word lock up?
I'm having trouble with the trial version crashing the program.
I get the Stedman's and then upgrade it every year. Others prefer Spellex. nm

Spellex medical spellchecker and line count software
Does anyone use this program. Is it any good. I have abacus right now that I have had for about 8 or 9 years and I really like it but I just upgraded to Word 2007 and I don't like the way it does the new count. It is a stand alone now instead of working inside Word and it does not seem to be as accurate and function as well. Also I have Dorlands electronic medical spellchecker and I really like it because it will correct things automatically that I misspell and stuff and it words directly in Word but it is not compatible with Word 2007. Does anyone have any advice on this or any software that is good and works with Word 2007?
Thanks

Does anyone have trouble with TMJ?
I have an appointment with an ortho to have it looked at. I have the clicking, bruxism, headaches, jaw fatigue and pain, loss of hearing on one side, and now neck pain and crepitus when I turn my head. The pain radiates all the way down my back. I'm so scared that i'm in the last stages and can only be helped with all sorts of surgery. Has anyone here been fitted with any sort of device that reverses this effectively? It makes my life miserable.
Don't want to get in trouble but want to ask a ?
about our MQ accounts.
I work out of the Amherst office and so far, I have enough work. This weekend we are a bit out of turn-around but the ladies on this account, and I, are working quickly to change that (when I'm not poking my nose on this message board).
I am wondering though, if it's just a few isolated accounts that are running out of work from the Amherst office, and it is illegal to discuss what accounts those are? It probably is--just think it would make a lot of us feel better (especially those of us out of Amherst that are starting to worry) if we knew that it's the same few accounts that are running out of work all the time, and not ALL of the accounts.
I don't know. This whole situation makes me sort of sick. I'm thankful I have work, but very sad that many of you appear not to and wonder when my account is next.
all the ones I usually have trouble with
I make expansions with my incorrect spelling to the correct one. There is just times I feel my fingers are dyslexic!
I had no trouble doing this on my last job, but cannot seem to do it now.
Different software. I have some of the same accounts, but none of the fast-moving accounts. This is all clinic work, but so was the last job. A lot of demographics to enter. The doctors give you all of these before they tell you which format this is, i.e. letter or office note, so you have to wait until you know to even start typing.
I don't have any trouble with

Anyone else have trouble with
I recently started working from home as an IC. This is my first job as an MT. I am really enjoying it thus far, but I am having the hardest time getting to sleep at night. For the past two nights I have been awake until 4 a.m. Can't seem to turn off my brain. Since it was the weekend it wasn't that big of a deal, but tomorrow is Monday, and I have to get up early to get my son to school, and get to work. I was just curious if anyone else ever seems to have this problem, and if so, any suggestions on how to shut off my brain? I'm exhausted and I know my work quality will suffer if I don't get some quality sleep.
