It took me quite some time to find my first job, and I make 7 cpl. I get evaluated at 30 days and it was suggested that my rate may be raised then. With the state of the economy right now, I wouldn't advise being too picky about your first MT position. That said, A few months ago I was offered a 6-9 month mentoring program for 3.5 cpl, and I turned it down. That is just crazy! I am really happy with my position.
