this. Honestly, I don't even like to think about it. It grosses me out and makes me nauseous.

    why can't you encourage
doesn't trying to help herself at this point count for anything, all i was asking is for some encouragement for the poor girl
thanks hayseed!! i encourage everyone to contact sm
as much media as possible and get this well publicized.

here is a link to everyone who works in the firm that published this conference.

and specifically here is the direct email to the man guy in the video who is vice president of the company....

i say we all BOMBARD them and shed as much light as possible to this company and employees for what they are doing.
I encourage you -- do not forfeit your CMT status!! (sm)
Since you worked diligently to attain your CMT status, please do not let your certification lapse. Your certification is important!!!

One never knows when it will become mandatory government requirement for hospitals/clinics, etc. that all MTs be certified to transcribe Medicare/Medicaid reports. Change is inevitable: Coding, utilization review, tumor registrar, etc. certification requirements is just an example.

I know how difficult it is for you to obtain the required CECs working 40+ hours, as well as "busy mom" duties, and paying the dues.

Now, that my children are grown, it is still difficult to attain the CECs, especially with increasing workload and taking care of grandchildren, and other household chores. I sometimes have to take a day off work just to attend continuing ed class(es).

I do not depend on my employer to assist with my dues, but it would be a wonderful gift of appreciation.

In my opinion, remaining a full-time employed CMT should be all that is required to retain certification, as I learn more on the job daily researcing new terms/medications than I do attending continuing ed classes. I plan to address this issue with the organization soon. Please contact the organization and voice your opinion concerning same.

    I am believing in you!!!

P.S. - with 15 years experience, I'd encourage you to go for it.
You might not get hired the first or second or even third time you apply, but as long as your experience matches up with what kind of work the company does, you certainly would have a decent shot.
    They encourage outsourcing, global economy.

I would be kind to them, and polite. I couldn't agree with them or encourage their ideas.
I don't hate them, but I know the true God. He says: You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, and a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments."

I can't go along with a lie on that magnitude, but I can be kind to the person and show them love, hoping to interest them in the one who loves and has forgiven me.
Are you IC or employee? Any IC work I've done, they encourage surpassing lines...
If you're an IC, I honestly don't think it matters to the MTSO which MT is putting out the lines, as long as TAT is met and the quality is there to back it up. I've cranked out 2500 lines per day with a commitment of 1400 per day and the extra effort was commended.

If you're an employee, however, and other employees who perhaps aren't as fast are complaining that you're 'hogging' all the work because of your speed, that could be another story. I've been in that situation but had a supervisor who staunchly defended me and said it wasn't exactly 'hogging' the work just because I was twice as fast as the other MTs, so the complaints ceased.
