don't care. I've been in this business a long time and really don't find humor in striking or whatever else the OP thinks would be so hilarious. If you want to be taken seriously in this profession, then you must act like a professional. The exact points everyone makes that make us skillful is what a lot of MTs want handed to them. Everyone wants the dream account and to make lots of money. We are simply transcriptionists. If all accounts were so easy and they did not require the skills we offer, it wouldn't pay as much as it does. I carry no anger. I laugh all the way to the bank. I just don't work for any of these nationals on-line who really don't know you or your work ethic. So, if you feel you are being cheated, then find your own accounts to pay the big bucks and stop thinking that by writing petitions is going to get you somewhere. Spend that energy on improving yourself as opposed to "fighting the system". A strike? The docs would laugh in our face and send it all overseas!!! Is that what everyone wants? Doubt it. So deal with the hand that you've dealt yourself. Again, not everyone works for slave wages for these nationals on this board who are allowed to post whatever they feel under the rules and regulations. I have never followed AAMT or whoever they are that just want my money. I don't know what the answer is to higher wages, but it certainly is not whining or crying on a message board. Contact your local lawmakers as they are the ones allowing the low wages or don't work for the nationals that pay such low wages. Can't have your cake and eat too.... it only gets better with time!! LOL
