by newbies whether we like it or not. That's just a fact. It's also being done by Indians. Between VR & Indians, that's why our industry is in this mess, and both directly impact patient safety. I'm not saying it 'should' be done by newbies, just that it is. VR pays so low that they have to hire newbies when they can't get enough experienced MTs to take that much of a pay cut.
However, you're wrong about the skills required to QA, which you would know if you had ever been a QA trying to train and mentor newbies & getting the worst of the worst dictations all day every day, so I'll just leave it at that. You cannot speak to what you know nothing about. I've been an MT, a VR editor, and a QA.
