I do have another autoimmune condition.
First of all, I want to say that I am sorry for your diagnosis and hopefully it isn't severe or responds to meds.
I think whenever your body is fighting a disease, you are going to be tired all of the time.
I don't see why you can't return to MT. Maybe look for a part-time position that is also flexible.
With my condition, my hands and feet are constantly under attack, but I have had it for years now so the hips and knees are now in bad condition. I continue to type because I have to earn money somehow and MTing is all I know right now.
Coding has been mentioned to me to try and maybe that is something you can try too. Not sure if it can be done from home and when you are fighting a painful condition, working out of the home can be a real challenge.
If you can find a company that will assign a certain amount of minutes to you but give you 12 to 24 hours to get it back to them, that would be ideal. It used to exist but not sure if there are many doing that now. That's what I look for but recently end up with nationals with flexible schedules.
Didn't there used to be a board for MTs with chronic health problems? That would be nice if we had that, so we could trade tips on how to stay productive with an illness that just won't go away.:) Good luck to you.
