Vista are not downgradable to XP. You will have to install all the drivers, etc., to go along with the XP program. I was looking at buying a new laptop at Staples and the guy told me that it would cost about $600 for them to install the XP just because of the driver situation, so I bought a refubrished one off E-Bay that had XP on it. I don't even know if Dell will install XP anymore.
