I can go and on...

I can go on and on and tell you how dumb I have been and for how long I have done quite a few things without extra compensation.  I never did load the work on his PC but they just started that one day, same with the reports he needs to mail that I must convert into Word for him.  I never have a specific pickup time either and a lot of times when I get there he is not done dictating and I must either go run errands and come back or wait - its my choice.  Then if I come later in the afternoons he complains about me coming in too late for him to check the work and he was waiting on me.  I have tried to do deliveries only in the morning but he sometimes need the work back to check before he leaves for an outside clinic and wants to check it the previous afternoon - they have a mandatory fast turnaround on records so he wants it back as soon as possible and it has to be accurate. 

I do not want to wait in his office because I am already in there downloading which is about 15 minutes and another 15-30 means another hour out of my day without compensation.  I cannot try to charge them for the corrections as I know he will tell me its my mistakes and he will not compensate me for that as he feels that if he has spelled a name for me many month ago I am supposed to know the spelling and have it correct in the report (which I should probably double check) and I can understand that reasoning - he also complains about the ink he uses when he has to reprint the reports on his printer.

Im just tired of their demands and working long hours and over the weekends that I just want to throw the towel in. This afternoon I explained to his wife that I cannot turn around and she then suggested I wait on him and I said no, I cannot wait while he sees a patient.  She then asked if Im trying to tell her to get somebody else and I said you can do whatever you want to, if that is what you want to do go ahead, I will always make mistakes, today it might be page numbering sequence and tomorrow it will be something else.  Nobody types 50 pages day after day without a mistake.  And don't think I make big bucks either, nope he pays me per page and I even have to break the charge down to 1/3 of a page if its not half a page... urgh! I have not had an increase either for the past 5 years and look a the price of gas.  Im just very frustrated and suffering with body aches and pains from a lot of typing the past week and a half and I think my frustration level is very high.  Maybe its just time to move on...
