people when I worked inhouse, without seeing me, just hearing me type, want to come and WATCH me!! No way, get so nervous do not like someone standing right behind me. To make a long story short, I even had a boss who typed faster than me. Unbelievably so, 2 of them in fact in the past. I have done this for years and yes you got it right when you put down about getting yourself almost glued to the chair in order to do this. You see, there will be people who don’t want to do this, they have to take care of this and that when working at home but you can do it but you have to keep your eye on the ball. I can almost tell you most of the time what the dictator is going to say because, like you said, you get to where you know their dictation. I could not type without short cuts period. Every sentence is a combination of lots of shortcuts. I only get up from my seat to a) get a drink of water, b) go the bathroom, or lastly give my hubby a big smooch! Other than that, work day means work day for me and my paycheck shows it.
