When I first started working at home a few months ago I had to use a C-phone. I have my phone through Cox Cable (as well as internet and TV cable) and they came out and installed the second line without any problem - and I told them exactly what it was for. The monthly cost was about $18 for service and $20 for unlimited long distance. If you have a cable company in your area that provides phone service, check into it.
I left AT&T YEARS ago and will NEVER go back. Their policies SUCK.
