Need help on possibly homeschooling a 9th grader
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I agree - keeping any child - especially a 9th grader
Removing someone from their peer group at this vital stage of development is going to do nothing but make him think that the best way to solve a problem is to hide from it.
Maybe you could volunteer at the 1st grader's school one morning a week? sm
You can be the "cool mom" and see a little bit of what your child's day is like when you're not around. I did this and it helped a lot. Also, after a couple of hours with a roomful of kids I was anxious to get home and make some money!

Does anyone know of a place for online education or materials I can use at home for my second grader
My second grader is really struggling through the end of school. I want to work with her over the summer so she is prepared for third grade. Our school district will only provide summer tutoring if the child has actually flunked. I am trying to prevent her from flunking. She is a B-C student and I want to help her maintain or acheive better than that. Her older sister is a straight A student, but I know every child is different. I am not trying to make her a straight A student, I just want her to get as much out of her lessons as possible. Does anyone know of a virtual learning site that will provide me with the correct materials to teach her over the summer? We live in a small town in the country in Ohio and we have no tutoring available unless i driver her about 50 miles one way! Thanks for any help!
Just jokin' with ya.I work there too. Hamburger
maybe? I did read once where frozen meat works well since it stays frozen so long. I truly do feel your pain. My husband blows his neck out once every 3-5 years and it's usually three months off work, Vicodin, PT, and Neurontin, in that order. He has to do the traction thing where they stretch his neck and the bone slides back into place. Not very fun and very expensive but he says it works.
Hamburger helper-stroganoff, I'm lazy..

stuffed zucchini with hamburger/sausage
mixture, including one egg per pound of meat, onion, seasonings. Remove seeds from zucchini, stuff with meat mixture, and pour over spaghetti sauce, top with cheese and bake Delicious! Of course, you can vary this to suit your taste buds!
on a diet...hamburger plain, unsweetened applesauce, tomato juice...yum NOT!
but it's working....yippee! So much for the tastebuds!
hamburger steak with onions, sliced tomatoes, mashed spuds. NM

He loves that I
am always ready to go at a moments notice and he doesn't have to wait for me.
He also loves that I am very smart. He jokes and calls me *the smart one in the relationship* because I seem to know a little bit about everything.
She loves this man.
Just because they are having a disagreement does not mean she would be better off without him. The parents maybe, but I doubt her DH feels like he would be better off without his parents, even if it is true. This is an issue that can definitely be worked out.
Loves him?
I feel for HIM that he passed at such an early age. Hopefully he is on to bigger and better things . . . but when he was about 15, she gets drunk, drools all over him, and calls him 'Schmoopie' on national television and that is love??? She is nothing more than a gold digging skank, and as far as I've seen loves herself more than anyone or anything else.
To the one who LOVES VSR
Were you a very slow typist? All I know is that I have been doing this for about 7 years and had gotten to the point where I could pretty much type along with the dictator and when done did not really have to make corrections or edit once I transcribed the report the first time. It was pretty much perfect without any corrections to be made and I was getting paid double the amount. Now I am spending the same amount of time and getting paid half less. I don't see how this could benefit anybody or why anybody would LOVE this unless they were a very slow typist to begin with!
I must be one of the only ones who loves it
It's probably because I was medical secretary/ transcriptionist/paralegal for over 20 years before I became an MT. I recently started back working part time as a LT. It is very hard and they can definitely run hundreds of pages as the above poster said, but the TAT is usually a week or more. The work I'm transcribing now needs to be done in 2 weeks. There is a website that you should look at that has general as well as legal jobs. It's www.tiptopwebsite.com/cslusher. Hope this helps.
Thanks! My whole family loves this and now

No way! He loves the wacky tabacky.
Don't you remember when he and Linda were arrested in Japan for brining marijuana into the country? It was a big scandal.
Awwww. She just loves you and wants some attention. sm
I have one cat in particular who always hits the keys. When I see her coming, I have to roll my keyboard drawer back under the desk or my transcription will look like this or get signed off prematurely. zzzz zzzz zzzz zzz zzz zzzzz zzz zzzx xxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx

He tells me he loves me all the time, and not
only does he tell me, he shows me. He isn't romantic at all, but he does little things all the time that shows he is thinking of me.
He likes to share new experiences with me, he enjoys going to craft shows with. He isn't particularly fond of working in the yard, but he knows how much I enjoy it and he spends hours working in the yard, even when I'm not working with him.
He cooks and helps around the house (usually without grumbling). I could serve him burnt toast for supper and he would thank me for a good meal.
He overlooks my faults.
He loves me despite my faults and I know I can trust him.
:)
#1 He loves that I am his best friend and that I don't try to be his momma. #2 - The sex! ;)

i thought i was only one who loves Rebecca
my favorite part in the movie is when he kisses his finger and put it on her forehead and she just lets out a sigh. You forgot The Bad Seed. Another excellent oldie:)
My cat loves to sit on the window sill too...
I make sure and keep the blinds up some during the day so she can do so. I think she likes sunbathing. My other cat could care less. He's getting older though. He is definitely past the age of wanting to "hunt" anymore. The youngest still trys to get out sometimes, but is generally pretty happy sitting at the window (this was a wild cat rescued out of the woods too BTW). The older one we let in the backyard with us sometimes. He just sits there and walks around some, but that's it. None are allowed outside by themselves though, especially since we just moved and they could run off and get lost easliy.
I've had inside and outside cats my whole life. It is a personal decision and just depends on the circumstances I think.

I'm an old-timer who loves PRD also and will share with you what little I know
PRD is DOS based and must run in DOS-based WP program.... I have a link that explains how to load WP DOS if you are interested. Looks pretty complicated to me... I gave up as realized I was eventually going to have to move to Windows. Bought InstantText which allows you to add PRD glossaries - but I hate it!!

Misery sure loves company...
I'd bet my last dollar (that I made transcribing today) that any other job has the same hang-ups! Tired of the same old thing, low pay... It is the economy. Everything is going up, we're not the only ones suffering! Everyone is! When I get those types of feelings I often think of the women/men with spouses fighting the war! Now, that's something to groan about! Oh, I'm soooo bored (barf)! Life is what ya' make it... for sure... Good luck in your endeavors whatever it may be...
That's why AHDI just LOVES them Indians!
.
Yep, I agree. Frank loves us and only wants the very best for our lips.
:
There's the difference, right there. I work for an MTSO who LOVES sm
for us to make money because then SHE makes money. I have been on the same accounts for five years.
I can't understand why people get switched around like they do in other places (I've worked for EDiX and another small MTSO and they switched people like mad).
Chicken Cutlets!!!!!!!!!!!! My family loves them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SM
Pound the breasts out flat with a mallet and coat in egg and milk; then dredge them in Progresso Italian breadcrumbs and crushed saltine crackers mixed with Romano Cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Flash fry them in hot peanut oil and serve them hot with tortellinis and pesto sauce and a nice fresh salad.
Yup - 80 lb golden retriever loves to lay right at my feet. sm
She also likes to lay right at my chair, so when I roll it, I am always on her tail or something. She drives me crazy too. She has to be everywhere I am. Love her to death tho! Don't want to be without her.
My dog loves his brown rice and chicken!
He turns his nose up at most dog foods. Found out he was actually eating the cat food. For some reason the cats stopped attacking him when he got near their food. A few weeks after I put the cat food up on a bench where he can't reach it, he had lost 5 lbs. He'll eat the dog food now, but he loves his special rice and chicken once in a while.
which your 6yo child can spell (& who loves to hit egdy for you

Reverse poll: What are the 2 things your DH loves about YOU? see msg
After reading the poll a few threads down, last night I asked my hubby what were the two things he loved about ME the most. Without hesitation he said: "your encouragement" (towards him) "and your intelligence." (This is coming from a learned man himself. That was truly uplifting.)
misery loves company, and we're all with you!
I would be downhearted too. But if this is the company's norm, you might decide to cut your losses early. It may have been a rough day for the company in some way, but i would certainly expect more and better communication in the immediate future. Sure am curious who this outfit is.
as my kids would say, make like a duck, and let it roll off your back!
My mom has used MetroGel and also loves Bare Minerals makeup-nm

Luxury? I can't imagine that! LOL As a woman who LOVES to try different colors
with the changing of the seasons, I know that wouldn't be for me at all! I would hate it after only a couple of weeks or so...
My mom loves Steely Dan and Motown..I love Sam Cooke.
I grew up listening to that type of music. Steely Dan reminds me of my mom cleaning the house. She always had it playing. I love Motown myself. My favorite is Sam Cooke.
Gracious, I guess misery loves company because
I'm just glad it's not just me. Today has been the WEIRDEST day.
A friend of mine loves her Kirby, but it is a little pricy at $1200.

My son loves Monster drinks before football/basketball practice. I think they are nasty.
I don't drink coffee, but I have to have my Coca Cola first thing in the morning and one more halfway through day. So I guess I am a little dependent on caffeine!

My daughter...
She was just over 2 when it was pretty obvious mom just wasn't enough! She was bored with the trips to the playground, the toys, the trips to the store, etc.
Her pediatrician told me she needed more socialization. A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME!! So I found a great nursery/day care at the local church and she just loved it. When I picked her up the first day, she told me I came too soon. Talk about hurt feelings!! I was in agony all day and she was having the time of her life without me.
Well, now she's beginning her second year of college next week and is totally bouncing off the walls... pretty much like she did when she was 2.
It's good your daughter can't wait. It may just be a sign of independence and self-confidence. Don't take it personally. They don't appreciate us until they have their own kids!!
Good luck to you and your little girl and you son LOL ;-)
