how much it hurts. I had to put my pomeranian down in Nov. of 2004. I stayed with him when they gave him the shot. He was gone within a few seconds. The tech and I just cried and cried. Then I went home and cried some more. He had been a rescue that I took in 2-1/2 years before and I found some comfort in the fact that he had been wandering the streets before I found him, had been uncared for, and I gave him the best last 2-1/2 years. Before he went, I told him that if he ever wanted to come back to me, I would take him in all over again!

I feel for you in your loss.
