by the amount of crap MTs will put up with just to work at home. The MTSOs have found a gold mine of suckers and most milk it for all it is worth.

Amazed how someone can
Good one!
Also for everyone that "thinks" they are perfect while doing transcription, I then offer you to get rid of spell check - hmmmmmm, don't want to - can I ask why? Perhaps that is because we are all HUMAN and make mistakes.
Think about it, what transcription platform DOES NOT HAVE SPELLCHECK - Perhaps that tells you something right there - we all make mistakes and to bash someone for a itsy bitsy mistake is nonsense!!!!
Amazed at IQs below
You would think with soooo many smart MTs out there, with IQs above the average range and all, one of them would come up with a way for us all to make more $$$$$$ in our line of work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm amazed this issue came up because
just today, I transcribed a note where the PA dictated that the patient "felt crampier this month than last month." Although I typed it as dictated, I haven't been sure all day that I was correct in doing so.
I can't find that word in any dictionary anywhere. Just because I may have "formed" an English word correctly doesn't necessarily make it a word, does it?
I know. She always totally amazed me!
Right when all this mess started, I put a post on the Main Board asking MT50 are you still here, but never got an answer, so I guess not.
amazed and horified at dictators sometimes
Talking about the speedy Gonzales' out there, who take the fun and ease out of typing American as first language, albeit so few and far between. Amazed that any human can dictate a three page report in one breath under 60s seconds. Do they go to speed talking school? Do they think its a requirement for MTs to hear this sort of speak? I know its not their every day speak because when they talk to nurses, or on the phones, or even to themselves, they sound like normal paced relaxed speaking humans. The horrified part is having to type them. Oh well, back to my day! Just thought i'd gripe.
I have read responses and I'm still amazed that
People will always come to the defense of dogs that haven't been properly trained. This is not about whether or not you love your dog or whether or not your dog is part of your family.
Our dog is a very big part of our family and we love him dearly and treat him like a king. A king dog that is. He is our dog and he knows that he is our dog. He is not a human member of our family.
Dogs should not be taught to think that they are human. They need to be trained to deal appropriately with humans and know that they are are actually dogs, that we are humans, and which place they belong in the human world.
The whole idea of treating a pet like a human is ridiculous and that is where people run into trouble.
I don't allow my husband or children in my office when I'm working and I certainly would not have them take a backseat to a dog. That kind of emotional attachment would need some serious thought and possibly some appropriate counseling.
The last sentence kind of amazed me ...
with the spelling of "to". QA?
I frankly am amazed that most let this happen
When I had to work and support a family I did not have the option of sitting around and waiting on work. Hubby and I had a talk about this just last night. He said as long as they allow it to happen it will continue. Years ago as a divorced mother who had a family to support, out of work, well then I got out and found something else. I was never without work, in fact I worked several transcription jobs because I always wanted to have more money as I loved to travel and hated to not be able to buy like I wanted to. Never had food stamps, no welfare, nothing from outsiders, just me doing it. Bought a home on my own, cars, traveled, food always on the table. I never just sat and waited for work.
You'd probably be AMAZED at how many people do fall for these things.
