Some people are that way and it's their issue and not mine--or yours. I've known lots of people like that and being used as a doormat or a whipping post--a target on whom to vent their spleen--does not help them and even more importantly, drags you down to their negative, bitter level. So I don't get sucked into it, but just stay away from them.
