20 garlic chicken. sm
At the risk of sounding dumb - are you supposed to use two whole actual things of garlic. Garlic has always confused me. The recipe sounds wonderful but two whole garlic or two segments of one garlic thingy?
Garlic Chicken
Thanks for posting this. This smells so wonderful.
I had gone to a Garlic Festival and they made this with pieces of chicken and added rice. Wrapped it in a tortilla. Walaaaa wonderful!!! You could smell it everywhere! Which is how i found this food booth.

lemon crock pot chicken
21/2 # chicken, cut up, 1/4 cup flour, 2 T cooking oil, 1 6 oz frozen lemonade,
thawed. 3 T brown sugar, 3 T catsup, 1 T vinegard, 2 T cold water, 2 T cornstarch. Combine flour with 1-1/4 tsp. salt. Coat chicken and brown thoroughly in hot oil. Place in crock pot. Stir together lemonade, brown sugar, catsup and vinegar. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on high heat 3 to 4 hours. Remove chicken. Pour liquid into saucepan. Return chicken to crock pot and cover to keep warm. Skim fat from liquid. Blend cold water into cornstarch and stir into hot liquid. Cook, stirring until thickened and bubbly. Serve chicken with gravy over hot cooked rice, noodles, or whatever you like.

have to cook chicken for my BF...the 20-cloves of garlic, is that from Rachel Ray?
Wait, I think it was from the barefoot contessa show, I saw her do that but not in a crockpot.
(We are looking for a place to buy chickens locally as I still believe no animal has to suffer for me, smile!)
Just because I am lazy, is that recipe already posted here, can I do a search to find it?
Thank you everyone!

Is your hubby making that much a year? sm..
Is he telling you to earn that much or is he being funny? Just my situation, but my hubby would never tell me how much money I had to make or whether I should work part time or full time. Life is too short to work 7 days a week or 12+ hours daily for the almighty dollar!
Even 9 cpl is chicken-feed. I'm making (sm)
9.5 cpl, working 10-12 hours a day, and still barely making ends meet. Unfortunately I've been at this a long, long time (28+ years) and don't know how to do anything else. It's a little late to be going back to school, too. Still, if the right opportunity should arise, I will probably jump ship.
Barbecued chicken, baked potatoes, baked beans. nm

I'll take your hubby. I've got one just like him and another one won't bother me... except.
my hubby will leave 1 knife, spoon, or fork on the table and it gets buried under the mail he never reads. He will take his shoes off at the door if the ground is dry outside, and keep them on if the ground is wet, snowy, muddy, etc.
He will make himself a sandwich, put everything away EXCEPT the mayo, leave the bread tie on the table and twist the bread closed and fold it under. Oh, and the best thing.....he never, ever uses a paper plate for his sandwiches or snacks of chips, pretzels, etc. at the kitchen table. What falls on the floor stays on the floor.(sigh)
But, I feel lucky because he puts his dirty laundry in the hamper and carries the hamper out to the laundry room if he needs clothes, I fold his clothes and put them on his bed and he puts them away...on top of an open drawer, on top of the bureau, on top of a chair, etc.....I give up.
BTW, I'm with him 40 years and been trying to train him all those years. I did make a couple breakthroughs, but not much. So, ya gotta love 'em or leave 'em. I choose to keep him.
Darling hubby, dumb hubby, dufus hubby. Take your pick. I have been known to use all three--

how do ya make chicken burritos?

I can tell you how to make a brisket and chicken
that will fall apart, but not very good with these myself! :)
so easy to make your own baked chicken and tastes better.
Just wash a whole chicken (clean inside, as well) Then salt inside.
Put it breast-side DOWN on small baking rack in shallow baking sheet (I line the pan with foil first), bake at 350 for 30 minute, then turn the bird over onto its back (drain the cavity when you turn it over, put those droppings in the bottom of the cookie sheet). Bake for another hour, turn over (and drain cavity again) for 15-30 minutes, and then turn back on its back for a little longer. I do put some foil over the bird for the first hour or so just to save splatters on the oven. With whole chicken at 69 cents a pound, you just cannot get an cheaper, easier meal than this.
when they get that glazed over look
Being that we are in such a litiginous society - I then say - "I am to a doctor what a court reporter is to a lawyer". Everybody's been to court....:) At least they can picture it. If I start explaining digital dictation, working at home, rerecording, medical terminology, etc., etc., they get lost again.
Next question - my daughter, son, sister, husband, etc., is unemployed, how can they get a job at home like you?"
1. Have a grasp on the English language.
2. Be able to type.
3. Maybe take a couple of Med. Terminology Classes.
4. Possibly know how to use a computer.
etc.etc, etc.
Oh, I don't want to spend any money.....or
She/he/they already have a degree in Educational Psychology, social work, Political Science, Dietitics, etc. (well, they need to go get a Masters degree and get out of your pocket)
lol cut myself off. Anyway, I'll make close to what I used to make with MQ,

Actually Wal-Mart employees make less, i know a manager making 10.50

Yes! My kids (above, age 22 and 24) started out making more than I make after 30 years of MT!

That chicken looks good, too! Fried chicken is the one thing
I'm terrible at making. I just can't do it. Whenever we do have fried chicken maybe once a year, I buy the frozen boxed stuff or KFC.
I haven't thought about dinner yet. I'm making muffins today, spiced applesauce muffins, Tabor City yam bread muffins, and banana zucchini muffins. Going to send some to work with hubby and freeze the rest for breakfasts.
It ain't worth it - you'll make about
$11.00 an hour and no bennies. After 25 years of doing this people are still making crappy money!
Try this recipe. I think I'll make it myself! :) sm

It should make QA happy, then they'll actually
Don't worry about what you have to pay an accountant. You'll make it up
With that attitude, you'll never make money in
slack when his checks are small. Sorry you can't seem to do it. Maybe you should get one of those "every other jobs" where you start off making the equivalent of 15 to 18 cpl in MT. Let me know when you find it.
