I forgot the most important thing. SM
Even with a child proof home, 3 kiddies under 5 can still get in plenty of mischief when you take your eyes off them for even a second. Your eyes have to be off them more than a few seconds if you're trying to do a job. HIRE SOMEONE TO HELP YOU, PUT THEM IN DAYCARE OR WORK AT NIGHT WHEN THEY'RE SLEEPING.....PLEASE!
One important thing to note is - (sm)
how are the MTs at your place being treated? If you're treated less like human beings and more like dirt, that's a HUGE red flag, as it was happening in the hospital I once worked for. Also - are they hiring, or cutting back on MT staff? Have your benefits increased, or been gradually decreased? Red flags.
Our situation was strikingly similar to yours, too. A few people were working at home, but they were mostly 'teacher's pets' - so to speak. Meanwhile, more and more work was being sent out. VR came into the picture, and even though it was working poorly, they were hellbent to keep trying to make it work, regardless.
The rest of us who were originally told we'd eventually be working at home were strung along for about 8 years, and that option never materialized. Meanwhile, the at-home MTs began to lose their 'pet' stature with management, and began to be treated as poorly as the inhouse staff. They were also held to higher line-count minimums per day then the inhouse bunch. Later, about half were let go, and those that remain will likely get the axe before too long. Like your place, radiology was the only work remaining inhouse, as more and more work was sent out. MT's with expert knowlege of all medical specialties were being pigeonholed into radiology-only, which had a difficult platform. Meanwhile, the outside MTs enjoyed using the easier platform for the regular hospital work.
Appalling mistreatment of the MTs continued, and still does to this day. Quite a few of their most productive & experienced MTs flew the coop, and (HUGE RED FLAG) - are not being replaced.
Anyway, it doesn't take a crystal ball to see that the 'master plan' for that place is to have all radiology done by VR, with a few inhouse MTs-turned-editors remaining to clean up the mess that produces. And the remainder of the hospital transcription will most likely get divided up among several MTSOs, depending on the quality of work needed for different specialties.
Anyway, if they've been stringing you along for 6 years, saying one thing and doing another, I'd be a little bit suspicious of their ulterior motives. If they DO send you home, it's a good opportunity to buy yourself a really nice PC, and to put out the feelers for other at-home work, just in case the work at your hospital mysteriously 'dries up', with only VR-radiology remaining.
Important thing when building your...sm
expander, I have found, is to use abbreviations that you will easily remember while you are transcribing. It isn't that important what specific abbr. you use, but you don't want to have to look up an abbr. while you're transcribing. You want it stuck in your memory so that it is automatic. I found it is easiest to keep adding abbrs. to my Expander during the course of typing as a phrase might come up, I'll put it in the expander... takes a few seconds. Also, I have a list of my new Expanders that I've recently added... and might refer to them while I'm learning & memorizing them, once I learn them & use them a few times I'll discard the list.
With shortcuts, the important thing is that they are created with - sm
a system that is consistent, and that you can remember easily. It's generally not a good idea to try to incorporate someone else's shortcuts (though I appreciate the chance to look at them, as sometimes they can give me ideas for one's I've not yet used :-) for that reason, and these don't seem to follow a very consistent method.

I've always wondered about numerology. My birthday is on the 19th, my mom's birthday is on th
19th, my dad's birthday is on the 19th, and my great-grandmother's birthday is on the 19th. All of different months, but I've always wondered if there was something significant about the number 19 that I'm missing.
hey...it's my birthday too! Happy Birthday! Enjoy! nm
Relax and enjoy every bite!
My hubbie is disabled and on permanent disability...sm
and he absolutely cannot make any money other than his disability if you want the full benefits. I think you can work part-time and get part-time benefits, but you will have to check on that. My understanding was they deduct any amount of money you make from your benefits and you would get what was left. But, again, the best thing is to go to the agency or call them and make sure before you do anything, as the rules seem to change constantly, but for full benefits you cannot make any money under your name.
My hubbie had a massive stroke in 1996 and since then I have been the only income...sm
in our home. Our vehicles were repossessed on Christmas eve of that year and within 6 months of his stroke we lost everything. We had no car, no home, etc, but by luck insurance paid most of his medical bills, but our credit was shot. He has not been able to work since and I am an MT, so that probably tells you what type of money we are making. I am only telling you this because there is light at the end of the tunnel. You hubbie will be able to work again and it might take some time, but you will be able to get out of this mess. I would recommend a book by Dave Ramsey called "The Total Money Makeover" and he explains how to get completely out of debt no matter what your situation. He also has a daily radio program, you can go to his web site and find it, but he really has advice that can help you right now. I am not sure if you are a believer, but prayer right now if you are can really help to give you some peace. I really do understand where you are at and have been in your shoes. Believe me, it will get better. Please feel free to email if you need to talk.
Heck, I did not say not to wish her a happy birthday! She deserves a happy birthday.
I was just saying her birthday was on Sunday!! :) Why does everyone always want to read something negative into everything on this board. I certainly did not mean anything negative by it! I was just makin' it known WHEN her birthday was!!
:)
PIZZA, it's the usual.

We got pizza delivered.
Church group tonight.
I usually give $2 to the pizza man
and $2 to 3 to the hairstylist. Depends on if they cut straight or not!!!
$2 for pizza, $15-20 for cut & highlights.

pizza and denzel washington
pizza gives you different food categories and you can "doctor" pizza for variety by adding pineapples or other things you could find on the island. denzel is a manly man, charming, funny and intelligent. if drink is added cold beer (corona with lime) would go great with my pizza.
frozen pizza and Perrier

Guess you'll have to come to my house for pizza!
Just finished canning 30 pints of pizza sauce from my homegrown tomatoes, peppers, basil, garlic, oregano and husband grows the onions. Husband and his brothers own a large crop farm so can and freeze lots of veggies. Also made salsa last week. Almost always make my own pizza anymore because of the artificial color problem. Haven't quite perfected it though (that pizzeria taste) but have got the crust almost "right". Would be happy to share my recipe for dough. Also sincere the in the shoulder if you need one- would be willing to share email address to correspond.
Ezcema is such a bummer!! I have several nephews (husbands side of the family) with it. Was worse for them when they were younger and has definitely gotten better now that they are older teens now. Food allergies did seem to be a culprit for them. Can you believe that when my daughter was totally covered all summer with hives that I went to my mother in law and asked her if anyone in the family had any allergies that she knew of because I was totally at a loss, immediately she said no without a thought. (Couldn't be anyone in "her family"). Then after I almost killed my daughter with Amoxicillian (strep throat), Gatorade, cough syrup (cold/cough), Benadryl (hives) and Advil (fever) (all of which have red dye which she is most allergic to) and her face and throat swelled up the mother in law suddenly remembered her sister stops breathing if she has artifical food colors. Golly gee thanks for your help. Her sister has food allergies and so do the nephews thanks for thinking of your granddaughter.
Leftover delivery pizza from last night, heated in sm
microwave. Sausage, mushroom, fresh tomatoes. Such a good place I found locally. Can't resist them.

Pizza or grilled cheese...church tonight for me.

$2 pizza, not do hairstylist as family does; but what about those Sonic car hopers? sm
i usually don't with sonic as they make minimum wage but have heard of some that do so i "occasionally" do depending if close to payday or not, lol, but those girls are getting snoody when you don't.
$5 for the pizza guy and $10 for a haircut and a pedicure. If nails too, tip more. Highlights, tip m
tip at least $10 when I eat out. I tell you one thing though, my pizza place always gets exactly what I order to me. If they didn't, I wouldn't tip as good. If I didn't get good service somewhere though, I would go some place else.
Day Labor/ Temp Agencies/pizza delivery
You only asked for meal advice.. I just wanted to tell you about these places in case you didn't know. Every city usually has several "day labor" companies. Your dh would have to arrive around 5-6 am, they would take him to a site all day. They usually pay the same day. He would need is license and ss card.
Most temp agencies have jobs immediately available too.
Another idea is to deliver pizza at night. He could still do real estate during the day. He would get cash right away. They pay for gas mileage, at least minimum wage, he would get tips, and PIZZA! :-)
Maybe 1-2 x a month(with kids), and usually order out on Friday's - Pizza or Chinese -

On Survivor, they eat rice or corn for days or weeks. They win a reward and eat pizza, greasy

Salad supreme
It is a spice - in the spice aisle.
Pasta salad
I am making this as we speak.
1lb box rotini pasta
add 1 bag frozen vegetables at the end of cooking time. Your choice. I use California mix, broccli, cauliflower, carrots.
Drain and cool.
When cool add 1 bottle ranch dressing, or pepper ranch, or Italian dressing. Any kind of dressing will do.
Add 1 can sliced olives. Sometimes I add artichoke hearts chopped up, sometimes some pepperoni chopped.
Mix well and chill well. Just before serving I mix in about a 1/4 cup grated cheese.
Delicious.
fruit salad

Happy Birthday to You
Today's my Mom's birthday. What do you get for someone
who has everything and needs nothing? I'm never sure which books she has read or not. She likes to pick out her own clothing. She has plenty of flowers and plants. She already has tons of stinky candles and bath stuff. I can't think of anything original. Any ideas? Thank you.
Her birthday was Sunday. :)
It's been up there at the top since Sunday. lol
so why can't someone wish a Happy birthday
without someone else having to correct them? So what if it was Sunday. I love BD wishes early, ontime, or late.
Happy birthday!!!!
Tell him a very happy birthday! :)

I remember that day well. It's the birthday sm
of a very dear, longtime friend. John Lennon was my friend's hero of all time and his hero was killed on his birthday. Just now I got an email from this friend, thanking me for the gift I sent him for his birthday--a reproduction of Lennon's report card in 1955-56. The headmaster's comment (in red) on the report card was: He has too many of the wrong ambitions and his energy is too often misplaced." His French teacher said: "A disappointing result. He is so fond of obtaining a cheap laugh in class that he has little time left for serious concentration."
Hope they lived to see John's success.
Happy Birthday!!nm

50th Birthday
I turned 50 last year. Don't know if you have access to co-worker's family, but if you do and can get some pictures, a little scrapbook is something I got that I just treasure. Mine had the internet stuff about the day in history, then prices on various things on that date, and then pictures of me and family from early years to present. Just a suggestion. Also, some of the Red Hat Society stuff is kind of fun.
50th Birthday
We did a party last year for my brother-in-law - just the regular "over-the-hill" stuff, but on the cake we had them write Happy half a century Birthday instead of using the 50 - it made it sound so much older. - I shouldn't gest - i'm almost there myself.
