Is there a way to convert an Instant Text glossary to work with Smartype?
Thanks
Instant Text is best by far and it will import your AC entries.

Instant Text can import your SH entries. nm

Instant Text, over 19,800 entries, adding all the time,
and I don't have to remember because the IT is at the bottom of my screen for as many lines as I like, I have 3 showing.
Instant Text can import your SH entries so you can continue
to use those shortcuts you are used to. IT can also import AutoCorrect and AutoText.
I used SH for a whole lot of years and switched to IT and have never looked back!
Bayscribe expander entries/Instant Text question ...
Has anyone here had success in converting their Bayscribe Expander entries to Instant Text? If so, how did you go about it.
Thanks in advance.
Instant Text creates entries and the short forms from
previously saved documents. You run a compile on the reports and it picks up the most frequent words and phrases. Go to their site and click on the overview link to see how it works.
You are so right! This list makes me grateful for my Instant Text! nm

Can I transfer instant text word list to autocorrect??
Hi all. Well I have a ton of entries stored in my Instant Text program. The problem is, that now that I am using Editscript version 8 instead of version 6, whenever I use my instant text program, it freezes up on me.. So I am just wondering, is there any way that I can transfer over my IT word lists over to autocorrect in microsoft word?? I think this is the only text Expander I can use with editscript 8. I really appreciate any help with this!!
I have 4000 glossary entries to transfer to a
I'm going from DocQScribe to an Ex-Text platform and I have to reinput the phrases in one-by-one. Should I do this as the phrases come up? Is it preferable to just make some time to re-type the whole list at multiple settings?
Export the glossary to a .txt file and print from there.
To do that (with IT open), right click over the phrases heading and select Importer. Then select the Workshop tab and Export.
You can print a list in the print dialog box. sm
You'll find the option in the print what section. You can probably find a macro that lists them all in a document with a web search. Otherwise, you can only print them.
how do I print my shorthand entries
Anyone know how to print up all the entries in the dictionary?
TIA!
Sunny
To print list
You can print a list of all of the "autotext" by opening word, FILE, PRINT (or ALT F, P) and in bottom Lft corner in the "Print What" section select "Autotext entries" and OK. If you have a lot this will print a lot mine would do about 150 pages.
BE AWARE - This will print everything. You can print just a list of the AUTOCORRECT entries but you have to creat a macro which is not hard. This too however will print all of the autocorrects, like when it automatically changes "adn" to "and". But, if you have to have this list you can just run through and delete the normal corrections and keep a list of your entries.
If you want to email me I will be more than happy to send you the instructions and the macro. It was simple to do, just a matter of making sure the macro info was in the right spot.
How do you print your expander list?
How do you print your whole ShortHand expansions? I knew once how to do it but cannot remember it. I was playing around with it earlier and actually lost one of my dictionaries for my current new account! I have a couple of other old accounts with useful expansions, but why did I have to lose this one! I was really cruising with my lines. How the heck does that even happen? I'm so upset about that but had to start over with putting everything back in it. I know I need to save it to backup, but still...
Thanks for your help!
How to print out Shorthand list?
I am trying to print off the words I have put in to shorthand, but I can't pull it up in Microsoft word. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? It is showing as a SPF file, whatever that is.
how to print out shorthand list
I have the same problem. Mine comes up as an ACL file and when I right click to open with (Word pad, Word, or Adobe) I get jumbles boxes. Have any other ideas to help pring this list?
Thankx
Does anyone know how to print list of SmarType auto corrects...sm
I have found how to print the macros, but not your normal auto corrects. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated, as this is taking me forever to write them down and transfer to DQS.
Auto Text entries
The file should be located here:
c:documents and settings<your name>application datamicrosoft emplates
There are a couple of other "critical" files that you should also back up. One is CUSTOM.DIC - (this is your dictionary) c:documents and settings<your name>application datamicrosoftproof
and the other is MSO1033.acl (AutoCorrect entries) c:documents and settings<your name>application datamicrosoftoffice
Auto text entries are saved to the template.
Open a document (even a new, blank one). Click on Tools, Templates and Add-in. Click on the box at the bottom, Organizer. Choose the Auto Text tab. If the AT entires you're looking for are shown, make note of the template that they're attached to (in most cases, this will be Normal). If you want them to be copied to a new template, simply choose that template in the opposite box and copy any or all entries that you want to copy.
RE: Auto Text - I keep adding AutoText entries but then the next day they are gone. Any suggestion

All you have to do is add VENTILATION PERFUSION SCAN to the glossary. Type it in your document the way you want all caps with a colon or not, etc. and highlight it and press Alt and the +/= sign at the same time to add it to the glossary and then the next time you want it type vps but look at the list and pick the one you want all caps or lower case. You can always delete the lower case version if you do not need it. Let me know if you need more info. Good Luck
Instant Text V Pro
I can give you some info on Instant Text V Pro if you'd like.
The most popular features of IT V Pro include the Importer, the Compilation feature, the Includes feature and Continuations.
The Importer takes abbreviation lists from other sources, such as AutoCorrect, and imports them into IT so you can continue using them without having to start creating a new list from scratch.
The Compilation feature is used to create personalized glossaries by scanning saved documents on your computer and pulling out the most frequently used phrases and words to instantly compile a customized glossary in seconds.
The Includes feature allows you to use more than one glossary at a time.
And the Continuations feature is a feature that brings up what you are likely to type next in your sentence. So for example, if you were to type "The patient", IT will then suggest what you are likely to type next based on what you've typed in the past.
