your headset? I am getting a little tired of paying good money for "top of the line" metal stethescope headsets, just for none of them to hardly last a year. Is that about a typical amount of time the rest of you see or do you tend to have them last much longer?

Replacing old desktop
Hey, I need to replace my old desktop computer (too old and slow). The only thing I've been told is that I should definitely go with at least a dual core, but do you have any suggestions other than that? I work in EditScript and so need Windows XP. Also would like to keep the price under $1000, if possible. Any MT with a "favorite" or a "definite don't"? Thanks!
Yeah, I thought of just replacing
not be worth the cost. I guess I could try and goggle a source for an inexpensive one.
Wow, your crockpot sounds great! I'll have to look around before I buy.
Yes, apparently it's too much to ask that people simply not respond to topics they have no interest in rather than get snarky. So thanks for your post!
EMR System replacing/elminating med records staff
I have looked for posts regarding electronic medical records, but have not really found any. Does anyone know very much about this subject? I see many regarding outsourcing. As far as job security, the EMR system worries me more than the outsourcing. I know Kaiser has implemented it, has gotten rid just about all the MTs (in CA) anyway, and now is cutting back on the coders, next billers, etc.
