When a US rep of SBC called to try to get me to switch my cable service for their high-speed interent, I told them no, I don't willingly deal with companies who have all their customer service "help" offshore. She pointed out that I probaby pay more to use my local cable service. Yes, I agreed, I do pay more...and I talk to people in my community and can even go talk to them in person if I want to.
But asking how the weather is in Bangalore is a nice way to break the ice with someone at a call center in India. Weather reports are definitely not part of their scripts.

It's Christmas, my youngest is 21 and God how I miss stepping over the trains! He had to have a new one every year and I stepped over them all year long! Miss the kids when they were young! You guessed right, no grandkids yet and am patiently waiting.... I do have a granddog though and he comes over to play.....LOL
EditScript absolutely tracks your reports and your line counts
You edited lines are calculated, your standard transcription lines are calculated, and all of your reports are logged.
If you click on the metrics tab on the toolbar, that gives your line count - you need to insert the date range, and voila! Your counts come up.
Maybe your employer unabled your toolbar?
This little device stops
stuttering. Wouldn't it be great if docs who stutter when dictating would use it? It helps 80% of people who try it!

I worked for them yrs ago. They are ALWAYS undergoing changes. It never stops.
every time they figure out a way to fleece the MT out of more money, whether it be retooling the pay structure or developing new software that does it on the sly, it continues to happen. Then, they have a mass mutiny of people who won't stand for it, rehire a new batch of unsuspecting poor fools, and on they march. Pretty soon people will be paying them to work there. I bailed ages ago.

he/she is ultimately responsible, not the MT. If they started to require this many would leave MT is droves I suspect. Do you really think the MTs overseas get liability insurance?

The buck stops with you (all of us). What confidentiality means is
that you/me, the MT, do not discuss the name and contents of a report with anyone outside the immediate realm of responsibility and only within a professional context.
If you feel really uncomfortable with doing it and have the option of sending it back for someone else to do, that acceptable but not entirely necessary.
If you *have* to do a report on someone you know, do it, and put it out of your mind. If you see that person, you cannot discuss anything about it with them, even if they ask. The onus is upon us to keep.our.mouths.shut. That is all that confidentiality entails.
If this stops hurting so much with pressure or elevation, you have a bleed, honey.

I live in the Ohio Valley, it's like this all the time here. A few days ago, no coats, this morning 1 inch of snow. I gave up ever switching out winter/summer clothing a long time ago.

tired of this weather
i never thought i would say it, but it is just too hot for me. It has been high 90s here all summer and humid. It usually isnt this hot here. I want fall to come with some high 50 to low 60 degree weather. CANT WAIT. I need cozy days and comfort foods!

Oregon weather
It is cold in the morning but dry and sunny throughout the day up to about 50. Beautiful on the river. Know that our wet weather is coming soon though. Gotta run and make deliveries.
Took an RV trip last year and toured around the west, one of my favorite stops was Palo Duro Canyon
outside Amarillo, and also Santa Fe, New Mexico. No trip this year, just had a baby, but hopefully one next year!

grocery-store gloves, and just cut the fingertips out. Warm & comfy. And cheap.
