Good drug book vs. internet drug sites
I need to buy a new drug book. At a prior job, about a year ago, one of the supervisors told me she used the internet exclusively. What's the consensus and if you prefer the internet, which site or sites do you like. Thanks in advance.

try the drug interaction site sm
go to drugs.com and you can check interactions of medicines. I believe Advil and naproxen sodium are safe - but you can research this.

Actosplus MET according to drug site
I try to avoid using Google for drugs because there is no way of knowing how old the information is and half of the time it has been added before the drug has been approved so the name may have changed.

I typed in “actos plus met” in the Find a Drug and this is what came up:

I have done searches on this site, but wanted to know if anybody could recommended a secure, HIPAA-compliant FTP site that won't charge much as this is my first account and I have almost no start-up cash. shows dosages, click on drug and generics appear, along with brand names and what med is used for. Will not do "fuzzy" search but first few letters will work. Only real drawback is site is occasionally down for updates. Check it out.

Several companies still train on site. In fact, we are piloting an on-site training sm
program, where everyone would come in to the Keystrokes office to train for 1 or 2 weeks. We have a large training room and feel that this may be a way to cover all aspects of an account, be right there to answer questions as they come up and have one-on-one contact.
It will be optional at this point and may not be more effective as remote training, but some people have expressed that they miss the training that you get when you start at a hospital.
We are trying to bridge that gap between working in-house somewhere and working at home.
It may seem out-dated in many ways, but sometimes going back to basics is a good step to take!
