How many more times would you suggest she sticks around waiting for that "just once more"?
And there are children here. If you knew there was someone who was very dangerous in your home, who had committed serious crimes before, would you just hold onto religion and wait til that "once more" happens and then 'RUN'? I think that's extremely negligent and very poor advice for an individual who has been repeatedly abused, and absolutely unacceptable when there are children in the home you are responsible to PROTECT.
Her first priority is to protect the children and herself. We're talking about someone who is dangerous living under the roof with the rest of this family. It's absolutely irresponsible to say the best option right now is to get counseling, seek out a church, etc.
