Has anyone ever had a positive serum pregnancy test and...sm

then started bleeding or spotting without any pain?  I had 2 positive urine tests and then started spotting or having a period but not as heavy (only sign of blood was on tissue).  I have been doing this for 2 days, so I went to the ER today.  Serum test was 154...I have to go back in 2 days in which time they say it should double if everything is okay.  Has anyone had experience like this and came out okay?

Positive serum pregnancy
Yes, it happened to me spotting on tissue only for 2 days, son is now almost 20. Doctor first said she did not know if it was a viable pregnancy, told me to go home and take it easy for a week, I did just what she said. Bleeding stopped by the next day. Good luck to you.
Positive pregnancy test
Indeed I've had that experience with two months of bleeding/spotting with a positive pregnancy test, the result of which was a lovely 11 lb 9 1/2 oz, 26-inch long baby boy born by natural delivery with a smile on his beautiful face. The lovely boy is now 6'4" inches tall and the love of my life. My prayers go with you for a successful outcome.
Try Fact Plus pregnancy test
My OB-GYN used to use these in her office.  She said they were the most accurate.
Has anyone ever been late for their period but got a negative pregnancy test
my boobs hurt, my stomach is swollen, I throw up all the time, anyone else ever thought they were pregnant and had this happen?  I'm 4 days late and the test said no... So I would think that the test would be correct.. I have never in my life have had sore breasts I feel like I'm nuts ...
Yes. I was pregnant anyways. The home pregnancy test was wrong.
Then the doctor told me to have a D&C because he couldn't find the heartbeat on ultrasound, so he told me it was a miscarriage. Actually, my ovulation was off. I refused to have the D&C and my son was born 7.5 months later.

Are you trying to get pregnant? Are you using birth control? Sometimes you can feel pregnant or even have a blighted ovum or early miscarriage that won't register with any pregnancy hormone. I had one at 10 weeks. Swollen boobs and water retention can be caused by hormones or stress. I would suggest to just relax and see what happens in the next week, then try another PG test.
I use Hask serum - works like a charm. I have tried many others
and they leave your hair feeling yuk, heavy and gross. Hask serum leaves my hair straight, no frizz, light and airy and feels smooth and silky.

I have natural curly-wavey hair and on top of that it is foiled. So, I have a double whammy! Hask serum really works wonders.

I also use Aveda deep penetrating conditioner 2x a week. Love that product also.
Good luck!
I have the frizziest curliest hair. BioSilk serum
works best for me. I tried the ones mentioned below but they left my hair sticky.

If I am going to straighten my hair (especially in summertime), as soon as I take the towel off of it, I apply BioSilk serum lightly, work it in very well from root to ends, apply a little Pantene Rootlift spray at the top roots for lift and straighten. It even helps protect if I use a straightening iron.

Afteward, you can spray on a locking spray by Matrix that helps lock out humidity. Just don't use too much of it. A light spray over before you walk out into the summer sauna will help!

Oops! the are positive, not and positive.

It's a test in progress to measure what MTs know and what type of test to give for the SM
different levels of MTs.  It's over $90.  That's a lot of money to pay to someone who is giving these tests for research as to what type of testing should be done for the different levels of MT.  The AAMT will probably take the results and make a test that they can give in India or the Phillipines or some other foreign country.
tuning fork test: Is it about a hearing test? .See inside
A whisper is about 20 dB
Loud music (some concerts) is around 80 to 120 dB
A jet engine is about 140 to 180 dB

Hope I could help
Not a medical typing test but this website can test you..

It's called www.typingtest.com

Atleast it will give you an idea.. Sadly, I had to take it twice before I passed it LOL

Why would they do a microalbumin test when she has the period? A lot of test s will come out wrong

Neer's test is a shoulder impingement test

Don't think that has to do with the knee.  How about "bucket handle tear" of the knee?  Never heard of Neer having anything to do with the knee.

pregnancy
I spotted the entire 24 weeks until my youngest son was born. He had all of the things that come with prematurity, but is now a healthy 11-yr-old. I had a prior C-section and severe endometriosis though. In my case, they called it incompetent cervix. Is this your first pregnancy? If I were you, I'd take the others' advice and try to relax (off your feet) for a couple of days. I hope all turns out well for you.
This is my 2nd pregnancy...sm

My son is about 3-1/2 years old now.  PERFECT pregnancy..No complications, no spotting.  Everything was perfect.  That is why I am so scared this time.  I know all pregnancy are not alike.  Please pray that everything works out fine.  I really, really do appreciate all of the good thoughts and comments.

I will keep you updated on the progress Tuesday.

Pregnancy
Not much advise, just possible congrats if you are pregnant. Those tests were always accurate with me and it seems like it may be saying you are. Maybe wait another day and try another test. Again, sorry I'm not much help. Sending good vibes your way.
Pregnancy
From my experience, with my own pregnancies & patient's pregnancies....the little faint line you are seeing is an indication of a positive pregnancy. The reason for it being so faint is most commonly because you are very newly pregnant (in a stage that most women never even know that they are pregnant yet). The line is faint because it is reflecting the HCG levels in your urine and it has found alittle bit, but not a lot. Thus a faint line appears. In a week or so, expect a much darker line. My guess is that you are probably pregnant and I would just retest in a few days to make sure. Also, keep in mind that not all women are able to get reliable results with the at home tests. Several patients in the past have received negative readings on their at home tests and came into the doctor's office for a serum pregnancy test to find out for sure...Many were pregnant! The HCG hormone doesn't always show up for all women when they use at home tests. Best of luck to you and your family!
One way I knew with my last pregnancy...
My breasts were VERY tender...even before I realized my period was late. I stopped at the store on my way home that very night, did the test as soon as I got home, and voila...baby #3 on the way...any symptoms of pregnancy besides being late on your period? That's a good indication of yes or no...good luck!
Illness/pregnancy
These are supposed to be treated the same - 12 weeks leave - my mother-in-law got sick last year and when she could not go back to work by the date that the hospital specified (she's a nurse) they terminated her from her job - and she had worked at this place for 20 years. I would seek legal advice on this subject before telling anyone at work.
Seafood and Pregnancy
No, they shouldn't because of the risk of food poisoning and/or mercury content.
same with tuna and pregnancy......nm
.
happens quite often i would test again or go see your GYN for blood test which is more accurate
nm
I only used a hand pump for last pregnancy sm
But I WAH and never really left my son. I used an Avent Isis - a really great hand pump.

Now, for working moms, they recommend a dual electric pump - if you are nosy and want to check them out, 2 of them are called Medela Pump In Style and Ameda Purely yours. The electric ones are supposed to (hopefully) get more milk faster, as both sides can let down at the same time. In addition, it cuts down pumping time doing both at once.

I am pregnant again right now and don't plan on going electric if I can help it :) I'd much rather feed right from the tap!

I had similar problem with my first pregnancy.

I had more bleeding than you, but no cramping or any other issues.  It was in my first trimester.  I can't remember how far along I was, but it was fairly early.  Anyway the first thing my OB/GYN asked me was had I had *ex and I had a few hours earlier.   She wasn't the least concerned, but of course I was scared to death.  She told me not to have any "activity" for a while and I was a cough potato the next day or two just to be safe, but my son is 15 now and I had no similar problems throughout the rest of the pregnancy although I was having "relations."    I think she said a hormone in the *perm could cause the bleeding.

Think positive and take it easy.  Let us know how it goes.

I spotted from week 10 through 17 of my second pregnancy. (sm)
My daughter is now almost 10. I'm sure everything will be fine. I will be praying for you.
YES, if the pregnancy or delivery was complicated...nm

induced termination of pregnancy - nm

ITOP-intentional termination of pregnancy

Yes, I had a period, no joke, for 5 months of pregnancy.
Doc didn't understand, baby was healthy, born on time, no complications.
Well I DID have bleeding with my ectopic pregnancy in August, so it is possible.
An early ultrasound at the hospital was incorrectly read at the hospital as intrauterine, but when my OB/GYN did another ultrasound, it was ectopic.
That I can understand. A planned pregnancy is a much different issue
nm
Is the patient pregnant? ITP is usally intrauterine pregnancy in OB.

i stopped reading at the unwed pregnancy part
statistics have shown that teen pregnancy has gone down in the past 30 years. Most unwed pregnancies these days are by choice by grown women. In 1996 I was 25, wanted a child and was not married, so I made the decision to have a child on my own. Is that a bad thing? Now, I own my own home, my daughter wants for nothing and is a straight A student, and I am by no means rich or come from money. I work hard and have instilled good values in my daughter. I don't see that as any part of some explosion of bad behavior....sorry but I have to disagree with you. If you are offended by what you saw/heard/smelled that is fine but to judge these people as "bad", well that's for a higher power to decide, don't you think?
She had an ectopic pregnancy. They were showing everything that happened in the past. Next week it

I am only 40---starting to early....I found that pregnancy kills brain cells - nm

That should read "are pregnancy women..." And I'll be over around 6 for dinner. I love Lob

Yeah a 30 minute test---work for free, he gets enough to test, his work is done - nm

Or maybe that in itself IS the test! It's really an ethics test, LOL. nm

how is this positive?
Is that if we're offered up sh@t, we're supposed to eat it, because it could be worse?  Nice attitude.
well, I'm not positive but...sm
I don't think you can use any other Expander with DQS.  An expander does what DQS does...when you type tp and DQS gives you the patient (if that's one you use)...I used Smart Type b4 (which is still my short cut for before!!) and LOVED it.  It took me a long time to get production back up with DQS...but I was never as fast as you--2000 lines! wow
You positive that's what it was? sm
If you're sure it was a panic attack, then I wouldn't go to the doctor. But if not absolutely sure, it could be something serious.

Extra stressors? How old are you (if you don't mind my asking!). Typical age is 30s. Lots of info easily found online.

As others said, the bag works for hyperventilating. Re-breathe the air from the bag.

Hope you feel better. No insurance sucks. I'm right there with you.
It was positive! sm
Congratulations! You will be in my prayers!
Think positive (sm)
When you say about going to counseling and state "but I feel it is not going to help" is not starting off in a good direction. Go to counseling with an open heart. Tell youself that it WILL work. Tell yourself that the counselor is going to help both of you see new ways to handle life.

Not knowing your husband's mental health issue, it's hard to put a finger on that. I'm saying it sounds like he's depressed? If he's not working due to this mental health issue, that's probably a nice slap on the ego as well.

With regard to getting help, ask him to come help you do whatever. I used to do the same thing, do everything while DH sat on his behind. We went for counseling and I let it be known at that point that I wanted a partner, not another kid. I wanted a partner in all aspects of our marriage; 50/50 marital, 50/50 in parenting, 50/50 in house keeping. We then went from there and figured out how to help this out. I told the counselor I felt like I was expected to do everything. He was kind of surprised to hear me say that. After that, we all started doing our own laundry, even him!!! He does his own work clothes too.

I'm going to bet that if your husband can feel like he's contributing more, maybe he'll feel better and start taking better care of himself. I know back in the day when I was depressed and feeling the world upon my shoulders, looking nice was the last thing on my mind.
Something positive

Yesterday I went to my daughter's school to have lunch.  This was the first time the school did this so it was very disorganized and the schedule was running an hour behind.  There were all of these moms fretting because they had to get back to work, and some even had to leave before they were able to participate.  Seeing this made me very happy to be an MT (IC) because I didn't have to worry about getting back to work right away and got to enjoy the time without the anxiety of what kind of trouble I would be in with the boss.

I know we all have complaints and things that are not fair in this profession, but that is one huge benefit that I am more than happy to take.

Try to be positive sm
You have a great educational background. I met people along the way who could not spell diarrhea correctly. You may be able to help a large dental facility such as Tufts-NE in Boston or a service a large facility contracts their work to. You could start slow, gain confidence. You will definitely not make money at first, but if you want to stay home with your child, think of the costs you will eliminate and the pleasure you will gain by just being home. Don't be discouraged. Where there is a will, there is a way. Perhaps someone will direct you to some SUM program tapes, etc. and you could slowly build up your word book dictionaries by buying used. I started out buying books from the Salvation Army as I live near a large prestigious university. People tried to discourage me as well, but I learned fast and furious as I had a good education and a good head on my shoulders. Don't give up! Good luck!
You actually get POSITIVE feedback
nm
Positive things!

Okay, I'm with ya here.  I really need to start focusing on the positives in my life instead of the negatives.  This is a fantastic way for me to start.

Let's see now.  I'm a recently divorced (YIPPEE - put that off for ten years!!) mother of 2.  Although it can be isolating working at home sometimes, I wouldn't trade it for anything!!  I make twice (sometimes three times) as much as I would per hour in a hospital.  I don't have to pay for day care - EVER.

Oh, and since I make so much, I was able to keep the house (my ex couldn't ever afford it).  I'm proud to say I have not had to borrow ONE PENNY from anyone through my divorce, I did it all on my own!

I can always be worse, I'm trying to be positive
You could be one of those in New Orleans, then would the pay cut mean anything to you? You would be happy to be alive. Why is it that only what affects us personally matters? This is what is wrong with society. My husband took a 25% pay cut a year ago, now the company he works for is bankrupt, slated to shut down in 9 days. He has worked there for 35 years. Be thankful you have a job, or get a new one.
A positive pause...please sm

Just wanted to share a link with anyone who could use a little positivity today...it's truly worth it

Peace...out.

need positive thoughts
whether you have insurance or not, if you continue to experience chest pain, go to the nearest ER. I am a 42 year old who had to have a stent due to a 95% blockage. It is better to be alive than worried you will look silly.
Thank you for the positive thoughts.
I do have a little small something that might eventually need surgery, but it's not cancer. This doctor was very nice and didn't treat me like I was a hypochondriac.
