Has anyone ever been let go after one day?? -

I started on an account this past weekend.  Was only given one sample to follow.  I had no problems or trouble with the terminology, but I had no clue as to what I was doing as far as formatting and such.  So, as instructed, I highlighted any parts I had a problem with.  Again, I had NO trouble whatsoever with the terminology.

I got an email today stating that the group does not wish to use me for their service.  I explained in a pleasant email, not being nasty or rude, that I had trouble with the formatting, but not the terminology and that I was only given one sample and that it was my first time with this account. 

I have never had this happen before.  I'm not angry, I'm just upset because I cannot get a response from the group nor an explanation.  Has this ever happened to anyone before?
