If you have a prescription mail order plan
utilize it for ongoing meds. We had been getting our meds filled monthly at our local pharmacy. I was trying to get better control of our money situation so tried the mail order pharmacy. I got 3 months of the same medication for the same amount of my co-pay for 1 month at my local pharmacy.
With all the national chains you can go on-line to check prices.
A lot of mail order folks you talk to are in prison.

With mail order I paid $15 for a 3 month supply,
the same as I would pay in my local phamarcy for a 1 month supply, so saved $30.00 going through the mail versus buying locally. It was with ExpressScripts (sp), which is the drug program that comes with our insurance.
I had this same experience, but the problem was the mail service
If it is coming out of 3 or 4 states away, more than likely the mail is slow. I think it took me 2 weeks or longer to get my check.
I checked the post date and she mailed it when she did. I guess with the internet taking away business, they are cutting corners and give priorty to out of state mail. Who knows.
As bad as our mail service is, I would have guessed monkeys.
Not unusual to get mail for 5 or 6 other people or to have mail sent back as not living here at this address. I think the qualifications to work at the post office must be inability to read, write, see, or move.

If you have a Sam's Club or similar, buy assorted muffins there (or other pastry type food) and a really nice bag of coffee, creamers, etc. Dress it up in a basket and tie a bow on it.

BTW, they do sound pretty young, but I still think HIPAA would frown on your dictating while sitting beside them, especially since you're a psych consultant, and this patient is one weird potato chip doing some pretty kinky things with cleaning equipment.
[I loathe the new Dumbledore. If he doesn't settle into the role (dumbledore is a bumblebee, not a wasp who throws Harry up against trophy cases), the end of the sixth movie will have us all begging Snape to blast him.]

It may be old hat, but they said getting a basket of cookies or pastries really makes them feel appreciated. I know you wanted original ideas, but this is what my large vet practice has told me in the past. Good luck. :-)
My boyfriend ordered me flowers last week from....sm
1-800-flowers but they dropped the ball and still haven't delivered. They sent him an e-mail at 6:30 last night stating that they wouldn't deliver as promised yesterday and we've both had a lot of problems getting through to a "human" to get this resolved. They still haven't been delivered and it's now 1:15 p.m. the day AFTER Valentine's Day. So much for ordering ahead and paying an extra "delivery guaranteed on time" fee.

I didn't want it to get buried in the old thread below, because I'm really worried about you. It must have just been me, but when I read that you found the flowers on your steps, and from your own garden, it just gave me the creeps. Don't know why, but it sure did. She (someone?) been's sneaking around your yard, and though it looks like a good intention, I still find it unnerving. PLEASE be careful! I'm not the paranoid type, but something just doesn't sit right with me about those flowers...
I think the flowers were a nice gesture, no matter where they came from, and not creepy. I think it
is great that she is willing to be friendly and kind to the family. Yes, she should be on her toes but not to the point of total paranoia. You don't know the girl "sneaked" about, she could have just walked over there, picked some flowers, laid them on the front step and walked home, I doubt she was out there at midnight skulking about the yard. Granted she shouldn't have picked her flowers, but it is a GESTURE, and yes, she should know not to since she is 10, but I doubt she was thinking quite straight. She is probably feeling bad about what she did, which is a good thing, it shows she has feelings and is not totally unresmorseful. As for the flowers, maybe it is something she used to do for her own mom and maybe she hadn't minded when she did that, who knows. My kids pick my flowers too, I love the gesture from them. Also, where I used to live I wouldn't have known someone was out front unless they run the bell. So her being out front to me is no big deal, maybe she meant to ring the bell and chickened out, who is to say? --I just think it's overly dramatic to read so much into so little and psychoanalyze this girl and her family to death.

Dip -
8 oz. softened cream cheese, 7 oz. marshmellow cream, 1 tsp sugar - mix well. WONDERFUL on apples!
Sis worn crown of flowers and veil detached, other sis just had a gardenia pinned in her hair.

Another great fruit dip. sm
20 oz can of crushed pineapple
1 box vanilla pudding (3.5 oz size) NOT INSTANT
8 oz cool whip
1/2 cup sour cream
Don't drain pineapple. Mix all together and chill well. It's wonderful on fruit and also on fruit bread. In fact, I like to eat it just plain.
Since it's hard to eat a lot of fruit
also think about a juicer. The advantages are that you get a the nutrients and live enzymes which work at the cellular level and don't have to be digested first. Of course, this should not be a substitute for EATING the fruit and veggies, 'cause the fiber is also valuable to your digestive system; juicing is just a good way to supplement what you are already eating. I would recommend organic stuff so you don't eat or juice pesticides, etc. Eat your colors...blueberries and other berries in general. Cruciferous veggies like broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, cauliflower also are great antioxidants. Spinach is also a power food. There are some good juicing recipe books out there if you are targeting specific things. Good luck and good for you for taking care of your health!

How's it feel to have someone blast your chance to vent a little?
Request that they place a stop payment on the check, reissue, and mail priority or overnight mail
If they refuse or invent unbelievable excuses, you'll know you have a problem. If MY check was a week late, there are many months I would be in deep trouble.
I realize checks occasionally do get lost in the mail. If they are 100% sure it was mailed, then they shouldn't mind issuing another.
Be firm and be persistent.
My friend who works for them is having her mail go to her own account. She hates this new mail prog

In every company I have worked for that pays via mail, they mail the checks on payday. sm
Depending on the distance you can get them anywhere from 3-8 days later. Right now one takes 3 days, the other 3-5.

From what I could see on the Today Show this a.m. they showed Oprah and David and they did kiss and make up and everything is fine with them. David Letterman even walked Oprah to across the street where she was appearing for something at the end of her appearance on the Letterman Show, both smiling away at the cameras

When a Stranger Calls is HORRIBLE!! Took my son on Saturday to see Cars...it was really good.
We have decided to add this to our current service not have a new service. It will be easier to sm
keep track of and will just be a different department.
It looks like we will work out details over the next 6 months, talking with community college program directors as well as a few of the distance-learning course leaders to work on the recruiting end.
We will train current staff to mentor if they would like to do so and want to work in the office.
We are still working on production requirements, goals to set, pay, benefits and other fine details but we have 6 months to get it all in place with three months to pull it together after that with a tentative start date of 09/01/06. We need to build the building as well, although that is already at the blueprint stage in a spot next to our current office.
We did not want to cause flames and bashing by listing the company name as there are always so many negative people on this site, but we are national with over 200 transcriptionists, located outside of Chicago (40 miles west) and have the best team of transcriptionists around!
We will have an "official" announcement after the first of the new year.

My doc is speaking....fruit salad...not making any sense. ?stroke
 This doc stutters, stammers, doesn't know how to use the reverse key to make corrections and ...corrects over himself all the time so I have no idea what he REALLY means...
Talks through his nose, buries the words up somewhere in his left sinus I think, drops off the ends of words, I think he EATS that last parts of words so they never get said....
and now tonight he will just say terms like ...Temperature 98.5....then a pause...then Temperature 98.6....then he says I'm sorry....then he just starts in talking about the spine.
It's like standard phrases are just falling out of his mouth as he sits there and he's not even knowing he's saying them and they have no connection to what he's doing.
HE'S DRIVING ME NUTS.....ER than I am.
