How old are you? That has a lot to do with HRT. Since you are in surgically induced menopause, it is standard practice for MDs to put you on HRT. HOWEVER, this should have been explained and discussed with you before the surgery. There is a lot of good information available on the internet - but really, your MD should have talked to you. Ask your doctor is 3 mos. off the patch will be detrimental - he/she might off you free samples.
