AMEN! I feel the same. I grossed $31,000 as an IC. sm
Before figuring deductions, my debt owed to IRS was $5275! Is that not ridiculous?? I think I'd rather take the $31K, divide by 12, and take the 2 months off from work that I am working to pay the government. I have EIC, but even with that it doesn't break even and I still owe in. I hate to see my tax bill once kiddos are raised; not to mention we are taxed on every little thing every purchase we make, not just tax time.
