The original poster asked a question that only a person who has done at least 2 reports with lab data would know what they were saying! COME ON! If she took the time and necessary brain matter to realize that the 41 was a test result and separated it from the rest of the phrase, she might have gotten it. Obviously, either this is a person has not had any training (if she did, she would have come across amylase and lipase a million times, they are so common) or she is just not cut out for being an MT. Just my opinion but then again, I've been in the business 25 years, what do I know!

Can I ask how you sit there for 8 hours. Lately, I'm having a motivation problem. When I focus, I can rack up the lines, but lately, I get so easily distracted. My mind wanders and I struggle to get my lines. Any tips on how you stay productive who do you work for?? I work for Transcend.
How bout....
Taking one Sunday (or a day you are not working) and make a bunch of casseroles, crockpot foods, etc. and freezing them? Pull out of fridge, thaw, cook, eat! AND HEALTHIER

I was consistently getting 1200 lpd after transcribing for 6 months on a very difficult VA account. I think MQ'ers just like to whine. Take whining out of your vocabulary and make so $$$.
I went through a bout of this years ago. sm
Try not to crook your arms too much while transcribing. If you can possibly pull your chair out farther, that ought to help. If you have arms on your typing chair, try removing them and don't rest your arms on tables, etc. Driving will aggravate this condition, too, as arms are crooked too much. Good luck.
Mine did get better with the adjustments I suggested above.
How bout meatballs???
I have made meatballs in the crock pot and it couldn't be easier. Use your favorite homemade meatball recipe, brown them in a frying pan, and place them in your crockpot with a couple jads or so of your favorite sauce (depending on how big your crockpot is). In about 2 or 3 hours your meatballs are done and the sauce tastes totally homemade!!! No need to stir the meatballs so they never break apart. Good luck on whatever you decide to make!!!

I dont consider this cherrypicking. Just straight up refusing to do a doctor who has no regard for me or his pts if he is going to dictate in a manner that is indecipherable. Again, I am in this for the money just like MTSO. I am not here to work for mere pennies an hour. There are plenty of jobs out there. The MTSO can get rid of me over 1 crappy doctor or keep me, knowing I know the platform, etc. If MTSO would rather have 1 crappy doctor or a darn good MT, whatever. Again, it is hard to find a good MT, crappy dictators are a dime a dozen. Let the next MT refuse him or not. It is here decision. Mine is to ask to be taken off so I can make money just like the MTSO.

How bout sharing the co's you are finding that offer experienced MTs, more than .09/65 char.... cause that' sall I'm finding. And on top of that will be ESL crap... And that is not what I've been used to!! Discouraged, disappointed, and upset!!

Although I won't offer for her to knock on my door whenever she wants to talk. I've finally managed to play it "cool" enough so she doesn't knock on my door every day now. She did that in the beginning. When I moved in she said she was so glad I moved in and she was so lonely. As soon as she would get home from work she would come straight to my door and ask what was for dinner. I finally managed to get it across that I was working and on the "time clock". Plus every time she wants to talk she always wants to bad mouth her exhusband with choice words or even worse talk about new men and sex and how much they want her. Kinda sad really. I started letting my eyes glaze over when she did that. She got the hint I'm sure but she just can't help herself. It is all she wants to talk about. And I must say hearing her talk about it is about like imagining my parents in that situation. I just don't want to know. Ugh.

That's the problem with MTg with a lot of newbies. They never bother to employ a medical spell check that will underline mispelled words as they go! This word is BASIC. You should have learned how to spell it correctly the first week in MT school, or did you NOT get schooling and just "learned on your own" or "learn as I go?"
I thank the Lord every day
I do thank the Lord every day. I love my accounts, where else can I make $4500 to 5000 a month and work at home. They provide me the income to live where I want to live - watch the sun come up over the river every morning. I am so thankful that I have what I have. My accounts do not bore me, I like my doctors, the office staff are my friends -- we share good times, bad times. I would not go back into an office again for all the money in the world. I do thank the Lord every day with my first cup of coffee because I am grateful for this.

I also like peach and orange smells too, but they never seem to last with the candles or other glade air fresheners, and the expense is too much. I have two animals and a litter box to cover. Those air things with the fan do not work, nor does the thing that squirts out scent periodically, waste of money.

It's about time all of you whiners left MedQuist. I have had enough of you complainers. It is just more work for me now! Yeah!!!! Did any of you ever think that it is time to retire? If you can't understand DocQscribe, which is so basic, I love it, you probably shouldn't be a Transcriptionist anymore. I think that is why so many of you can't get your lines up because you don't know what you are doing in the program. Anyway, thank you lord that you all are leaving. It is about time you quit complaining and do something for once in your lives.
In regard to OH LORD
Per administrator you need to show some kindness to the new MTs. I doubt you yourself were so wonderful when you first started out. Try to remember we are all HUMAN and we all error at some point in our lives.
